The Tourism Conference was really boring yesterday but I did go to all the sessions and picked up all the handouts. It seemed to be geared more to commercial organizations like hotels and theme parks than to Heritage. So I left at the lunch break and did some Christmas shopping - much more worthwhile.
I am off for music this a.m. and to visit Hershey and her pups. She and I go out on the lawn for a pee break for her. She glances longingly at the car but is also anxious to get back to those pups. We weighed the little beauties on Monday and most of them have gained about 2 oz. The runt is packing it on - takes after me - and will probably catch up with his siblings by 2 months.
Nothing special today, just hangin around the house cleaning and exercising eeek. I can smell that coffee brewing yum.
Got to see the pictures of Me and Grace at the Church party on Sunday.....OMG to I look HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how aweful and how could I have let myself go this far.....Well enough of woe is me lol......gotta get serious.
I had reason to get angry and quit this morning though. My daughter, charming 2 yer old that she is pulled the chair over to the counter and climbed up, dumped the coffee all over the floor, poulled down a package of cookies, got into some sour cream I had been waiting to throw out and bascially made one heck of a mess! She did this while we slept this morning which is unusual for her. she usually comes into our bedroom and sniggles with us first. Well, al that has changed. For now on, the baby gate in front of her door at night!!!
I di really well being Op yesterday except I did allow my self 2 diet Cokes. I was getting a really bad headache for most of yesterday becasue I had to really resist--know what I mean? I was pretty worn out by the end of the day, I hope it gets better soon!

Busy day planned. Errands, meetings, cleaning. I'm fixing to start painting my kitchen (not today). I told my girlfriend I bought 3 shades of baby poop yellow! Laura Ashley something or other -- just the shades I'd been looking for...kind of gold, kind of yellow (I keep telling myself it's NOT the harvest gold from the '60's -- but I could be lying.) I'm thinking of accenting w/Campbell-soup-kid colors. Bought a couple of wood placques at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that look like old fashioned store ads for apple and celery in just the colors I was looking for. How great is that!
Anyway, just wanted to say HEY!

Morning all; Just having my morning gallon of coffee!!! Not a big day planned. My nights are just awful right now with this food plan (CAD) I'm sure it will get better. As I've done it before but sure am glad when its bedtime. Everything is alright in the morning and time to go another round. LOL.....So far so good. And of course I have to face big T the treadmill..... but its going to be a beautiful day and I'm going to enjoy it..... You all have a good one. Toni

Well 2 days in a row I did not have a diet coke - I meant to have one but never got around to it! It must be all this water I'm drinking!
I have had 2 days back on program and I am pleased with myself. And for all of us PERFECTIONISTS let me just say that "back on program" for me does not mean PERFECT because life is NOT perfect and neither am I. But I am meeting my goals each day (water, walking, fruits & vegs & protein, no fast food, no quick stops for a snack at the store) stuff like that so I feel back in control! If being back on program means being perfect then I will never make it, because life just does not work that away and I have finally realized that! Wow only took me 42 years to figure that out - duh!!!!!
Leenie? didn't you just have a baby!!! you have not let yourself go you just had a baby girlie! I was still wearing my maternity clothes 6 weeks after I gave birth to my oldest son! You are back on track and exercising - it will happen girlie! Soooooooo how are you liking the walking tapes??? i love em! Do you ever get to chat these days??? sure do miss chatting with ya!

I went to the Ladies Aid meeting at church yesterday. The former President was there and took over the meeting. LOL! Boy is that old lady a pistol! I left her go, life is too short to argue with an 80+ year old woman about a meeting! I just sat back, closed my eyes and rested while she wore herself out arguing about every point!
Tomorrow I'm calling the doctor as I am still retaining water. It's very frustrating as I take a diuretic, drink a lot of water and elevate my legs as much as possible. With my luck, I'll have to be hospitalized again. That isn't any frassing fun!
Am going to vacuum and sew today. Hubby is cooking supper...a frozen calzone he bought last weekend.
Pooky, your two-year-old reminded me of a story about our Yorkie. He'd raise all kinds of mischief if he was left alone so we put up a baby gate. That little b**t**d would climb over it, do naughty things and climb back over to greet us when we got home! Hopefully your little one won't figure out how to do that!
Morning Everyone! Made it through the Athletic Banquet in good OP order--nothing tempted me---UNBELIEVABLE! The awards part was quite lengthy, but in the end it paid off--my DS got his varsity letter in football!!! Very proud here--of course this probably means for Xmas he will be getting a letter jacket from Santa Did you know they cost almost $200.00!!!!! I did NOT know that! The rest of Santa's sack will be pretty light! Woke up this a.m. with the start of a horrible cold!!! Am self doctoring because I need to keep going. I'm sure that sounds familiar to all of you ladies. My DH has the same cold but with different response to it....i.e. lay on the couch. He sent a beautiful bouqet of flowers to me here at school yesterday. Because of the Athletic Banquet that was the extent of our celebration, but that's okay. Hope you guys are all doing well. I know I promised myself 15 minutes at the computer, but so far 5 is about all I can scrounge--I will keep trying!!!!
Went to my first Overeaters Anonymous meeting last night and loved it. It helped to put me in a really good place mentally to get back OP & STAY THERE!! Also, the article Peach posted yesterday is very inspiring. Check it out if you haven't already (thread is called This Article Motivated Me!).
Ruth - The puppies are so cute! Glad to hear Hershey is such a good mom. The maternal instincts of animals amazes me.
Pooky - Sounds like Miree is fascinated with the kitchen these days. Maybe she'll grow up to be a world famous chef specializing in low carb delicasies (sp?)

Cathy yes I had a baby 11 weeks ago today, BUT I lost the 40 lbs I gained from her, it was very easy took no effort at all....thats cause my stomach wasn't right and I didn't eat much.
BUT NOW !!!!!!!!! that I'm okay, I need to lose the Fat that's mine lol.....Ick.
But I did do my tape this am and so far sticking to the CAD.
I am just busting with good news! Day 2 op for me and I finally feel back in the groove of things! Dh and I went out to breakfast this morning, ran some errands, bought a Christmas gift! Between all the crafts I have been doing I am almost done except for the boys. Some of you know that Christmas has been very stressful for me around here and soooooooo Dh booked a trip to Disney World!!!! (I think he has had it too!)
Met with the little guy's teacher and school psyche yesterday! He has been doing just great and there was talk of bringing him back into district next year. I know he has made great strides the past few months, learning to read, adding numbers and being able to focus much better but, I need him to be in a place where he is going to be loved and I am not sure that our district can provide him with what he needs. BUT! It was good news none the less!
More good news.....Jiff has lost....get this.....75 pounds!!!! Ain't that just, GOOD NEWS!!!!!!
The little guy says it is time to feed the bird...lots of Chickadees out there! Speaking of Chickadees...will ya pm me your addy so I can get your darn....I mean, lovely, snowman to ya!! course I have got to paint it first!!!

Am self doctoring because I need to keep going. I'm sure that sounds familiar to all of you ladies. My DH has the same cold but with different response to it....i.e. lay on the couch.
