Smile Daily – Tuesday, Oct 30th

Hallo all chickies!

Just another very hot day in South Africa, Can I send you guys some sunshine.

I have been trying to grow my hair but got fed up with it and decided that I am going to have it cut into a short style that is more easily managed. Told DH last night what I am planning to do. His reaction: PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T CUT YOUR HAIR. (You see he loves long hair, and this is one topic that we don’t see eye to eye. He want’s me to have long hair and I love my hair short.) After he asked me so nicely I don’t have the hart to do it so I guess will only have the points cut. Why does men love long hair more? He claims I look like a little boy when my hair is short.

Janice – My prayers are with you and Stephen.

Pooky – I am very, very exited for you please let us know as soon as you know.

Toni – You can do it, read that “bible” and keep posting here, we will keep you motivated.

Ruth – Congratulations Grandma – please post some pictures.

The rest of you, Leens, Peach, Dondar………… enjoy your day.

Love ya lots!

Hi Hensa! Wish I had an answer for you about men liking long hair. Dh and I had those conversations and at one time I did try to grow my hair long but mine is so thin and has these really weird curls in in really strange places that I gave up! I will admit that it is not as short as it used to be...think Linda Dano. Now it just about reaches the base of my neck....which reminds me...I need to make an appointment for a dip in the bucket and a trim! Congrats on the weight loss!!!! You are doing great!

Janice, hugs to you....go with your gut and you send that "e" when ever you get to it ok? no pressure from me

Dentist appointment for me this morning. The last appointment for my crown....how I wish for a jewled one for my head (((((sigh)))))) Mom has an appointment too....her dental hygene has been lacking but since Jiff has been making sure she takes her meds she seems to be doing much better.

Have to finish making the goodie bags for the little guy's class for tomorrow and then have to figure out which adult is going to which kids school. I would like to get to the store where they are having a sale on ornaments that are really cute...old time cowboys and Indians and airplane pilots. 40% off....a bargain I can not resist!!!! (of course since buying my "crown" even 40% may not be swell enough! uhg! and then again, I may have to save my nickels for a pay off to my buddy Chickadee!)

So that is my day....always starting off low carb and then some how fall into the valley of the shadows by nightime!

Hey Grandmother Ruth...I followed your recipe for a pork roast last night!!!! very very good ! Thank you!

What are you chicks doing today?

peach
ps....go Yanks

Hensa, you should have yelled - I've been awake for the past two hours! The east is getting bright - looks like a cold but sunny day coming. The time change has really screwed up my sleeping but it will adjust.

Going to the Office after breakfast to finish up the Annual Financial Reports. This afternoon, I am off for a haircut - REALLY short, Hensa, so you can be envious. Count your blessings - my husband doesn't even know I have hair!

Of course I will be working in a visit to my Grandpuppies too!

Have a good day.

Good Morning Chickies!

OK, I got a little excited and I took the test early and it came back negative I am going to go to the doctor on Friday and ask to be given a blood test. My dh thinks it may be too early to tell but I'm not so sure about that. Oh well, off to see the doctor and what he has to say.....

As for the rest of my day, well today is pumpkin carving day! My wee one is going to love this. We are going to do it tonight as a family, she should get a real kick out of it. We've got one huge pumpkin and a baby pumpkin. The big one is definitely going to make for very messy work!

Going to eat a lovely OP brekkie now, some scrambled eggs and some bacon. Have a great day everyone!

Hiya ladies!

We had a fun evening last night. We went to Binder Park Zoo Boo! Just the four of us, we usually go with hords of kids, but decided on the spur of the moment to drive out there as a family. It was a beautiful evening in the 50's and an almost full moon with a clear sky. We had a great time. The zoo looked beautiful. Tons of carved pumpkins and many scare crows.

Tonight we will be carving our pumpkins. Love baking those pumpkin seeds.

Ruthie, I am anxious to see those pups!

Hensa, I will take a little bit of your sunshine.

Peache, sounds like a great plan, I am with you. Didn't the Yanks make a comeback in the last series, they can do it.

DebKay, Derek is a home town boy, a real success story and he is really great about giving back to his community. I guess I support the Yankees much more than my home state, Tigers.

Welcome back Scooby!

Janice, cyber hugs just to not seem to be enough, I wish I could stop by and give you one of those hate to release hugs. I know Stephan will be alright, it will just take time. My prayers are with you. luv to you and yours.

Have a great op day!

Morning everyone! Can't believe its the 30th already. I'm busy makeing dolls. The ones that look kind like Lee Middleton's. They're called Berenguer Reborns and are very popular. I sell them on e-bay and am going to do a craft show the day after Thanksgiving. I love it and it makes a few extra bucks. My DH hurt his knee badly and had to go to the emergency center yesterday so I'm the nurse...as he's down in the bed. Oh what babies men are! LOL!!!! The sun is out in Ole Missouri and it looks to be a beautiful fall day. I live right near a river and in the woods of the Ozarks so its a beautiful time of the year here. Hope all have a great Tuesday..... And stay on program.... Toni

Default Good morning everyone!!!

Hensa, the answer is YES! Please send of that sunshine my way! We have started our "rainy" season. It'll be this way until April! And, I do think that men like long hair as long as it is nice. My girlfried has the most beautiful, long blond, naturally curly hair that always attracks the mens attention. (Women comment too, but not usually directly to her). My husband like mine long, but I've cut it off since he saw it last, but I think he'll like it.

Peach, it's a small world. I'm going to the dentist today to have my permanent crown put on. I am SO relieved because the sensitivity has been a royal pain -- literally. I've had a hard time drinking just about anything.

I am happy to see that everyone is well this morning!

We are getting ready to take DD to school and then head off to the dentist. Last night we baked cookies for her Halloween party tomorrow and tonight we are going to paint pumpkins.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hello all
It's going to rain here in Wisconsin and the wind has picked up again. The heart specialist's office phoned me yesterday. After looking at my ultra sound (Man that hurt!), he wants me to wear a heart monitor for 48 hours. I guess that will mean no wild sex, huh!? Seriously, I am concerned but there is nothing I can do until the tests are done.
I fell asleep at the keyboard this morning...isn't that silly, so I'm behind in everything I wanted to do. have a good day everyone.

MamaJ, I'm thinking about you a lot...and praying too.

God bless!

Jenniwookie, so nice to know there's somebody else in my neck of the woods suffering this infernal rain, rain RAIN!!! On Sunday and yesterday during our brief break from the stuff, I managed about five hours in my garden doing fall cleanup and trying to get the beds ready for bulbs but as usual, I've left it too late and the monsoons are in full force.
This morning I did my 8 minute weight workout, which seems to take me about 20 minutes, possibly because it takes me so long to get up from the floor between exercises. I'm supposed to do two difference exercises a day for seven days, four sets of 12 repetitions. I really think this is going to do me some good.
Hensa my DH used to always nag me to grow my hair too, but when I did, he'd then complain that it was messy or too straight. So I'd get a perm, which would fry it, and then I'd have to get it cut. It was a viscious cycle. Last summer I decided I was going to try one last time to grow it and, because my hair is so fine and grows so slowly, by this past July it was just getting to the point where I could put it into a skimpy French twist. Finally, I'd had enough and told him I was getting it cut. And, after all my struggles to grow it he said "But, it's already short"!! I coulda killed him. Anyhow, now I'm an old bat of 58 and sagging faces and long hair just don't go well together. It's short for me from now on and to heck with men and their preferences.
Pooky don't be discouraged by your negative reading. I could be that you just tested too soon. Besides, those test kits aren't infallible. You'll have good news really soon, I'm sure of it.
Ruth so happy about your "blessed event". Bet you can't wait to get Hershey and your new pup home.
Oops, gotta run. Hi to everyone else. Take care.
