Angry Daily - Wednesday Oct 24th

Hallo everyone!

The same 2lbs that I have been gaining and losing now for the last few weeks is off yet again, I don’t know until when is this up and down thing going to last. Weight this morning 196lbs.

My skin is turning to a golden brown, after only 4 sessions on the sunbed, I don’t know what I will look like after 15 sessions SSHOOOWWWEEE! My legs looks allot better, the cellulite is not so visible now that they have some colour. I live in a country were the sun is always shinning some were in South Africa and it can get really hot over here. So, every year before going on leave I book a few sessions on the sunbed. My skin is very sensitive for the sun and I tend to burn blisters and get sick, the result is that I don’t enjoy the holiday at all. After a few sessions on the sunbed I can with confidence spend time in the sun and only get tanned. I think I will loose some weight also because it feels like a sauna you are in.

Remember the craving that I had last week for chocolate, well I managed to come up with something that cures that craving, I make my own chocolate!
I take ±3 spoons of cream, ± 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder (without sugar), some artificial sweetener, and about 2 spoons of grated coconut or a handful of crushed unsalted peanuts. I mix them very good; the texture should be like melted chocolate. Put teaspoons of this in the refrigerator until they are set. WALA you have coconut clusters or peanut clusters. The carb count of the cacao that I use is 1.9 pr 10ml because it is unsweetened. I am not sure about the count of the grated coconut but it is something that is allowed on Atkins. You can even use nuts in the place of the peanuts. It does not make allot just enough to stop the craving, and it does not take bad at all.

Jenniwookie I am really glad to hear about your move and the fact that you are going to see your hubby more often. My husband has his own business and when he comes home late for a few nights in a row I can get really depressed.

The wish you all a great low carb day.

Good morning, Hensa. I'm passing you a coffee across the Atlantic - well, across and down a bit.

Must be nice to be back in ONEderland. Same old stuff here, I'm afraid - no chocolate around here to tempt me but I do find little "sins" here and there.

Nothing much going on here - it IS 5:43 a.m. after all! DH is still snoozing but will be up by 6:15. He is off to the gym and I am off to my piano lesson this a.m. This afternoon, I will put the finishing touches to my Audit prep at the Fair Office. The Audit is tonight.

Catch up with everyone later.

Morning Hensa, Ruth, Rachel and everyone else !

So Rachel, what plan are you trying to follow ? Maybe it's just not fitting your life - right now ? Maybe you should try something less restrictive ? I find that just watching my carb count right now is very easy and I'm just not hungry as much. I'm trying to stick to 20 grams but somedays it's closer to 30 which I think is allowed on Protein Power. I'm still figuring out which plan I want to follow but at least now... I feel that I'm doing better than last week when I was eating well over 100 ! I figure... Progress, Not perfection. How about joining me ? Good luck !!! Denise

p.s. Have a Super low cal day !!! Denise

Morning ladies,

Happy Wednesday to all. Trying to start over again today. I seem to begin all my days with good intentions and end the days screwing up I played Bunco last night and no one in my circle of friends battles the same weight issue as I do. Most of them I would call skinny. I just have to work at it harder. Maybe set up a plan and stick to it.

Jenniwookie, so glad to hear of your great news. I am so happy for you. I do not know how you manage so well with your dh gone so often.

Hensa, I do not know why, but a little color certainly makes me feel healthier and slimmer! I used to love laying in the tanning beds, kinda in my own world with no worries. Your chocolate treat sound great.

Scooby, hope the appointment goes well for you, it will be over before you know it.

Ruth best of luck with the audit.

MamaJ I am sending hugs your way. Stephen is in my thoughts and prayers.

Where's Pooky?

Hi Denise, Peachie, Cathy and all!

Good Morning,

Jenny I hear you on starting alllllll over again. But at least we have the opportunity to do so.

Grace has a doctors appt today....the poor thing gets 4 shots in the leg. Hubby (Jim) is going in with her, I can't bear to see her scream, I mean one shot is bad enough but 4.......my stomach will turn.

Other than that its supposed to be nice out so maybe we will head on off to the park or Mom's (if everyone there is done being sick lol).

Have a wonderful day
And who said Chocolate LOLOLOL...........

Love, Leens

The weather here in WisconsinUSA is damp, cold, foggy and rainy! Yuck!

I read something interesting last night about eating. We tend to eat according to the clock, not according to when we're hungry. Geesh! How many times have I looked at the clock to determine whether I should eat or not! And, if we ARE hungry, will that kill us? Also, do we quit eating when we aren't hungry or do we clean our plates like our mothers trained us to do?

My exerciser, the Abdoer, came yesterday. Roger put it together and used it a bit. He said it felt wonderful on his lower back. I haven't used it yet as I want to read the instructional book and view the tapes. It appears to be an exercise that is non-stressful and easy on the muscles. It's done sitting so I can use it without tipping over. (I'm not called Tippy for nothing!)

Am off to do the vacuuming and maybe I'll go upstairs and see if the sewing room cleaned itself!

No coffee for me this morning!

My mom murdered the Mouse. My very favorite coffee cup is -- WAS -- about 4 times bigger than the average and had Mickey Mouse sitting behind the newpaper. While she was doing the dished, it hit her sink and split in two. So, today I am on a search to find a replacement. Not such an easy task since they only made a limited number of them (they are NOT collectors items or anything), and I got it over 2 years ago.

Hensa, that picture was adorable! And, what a fabulous way to get chocolate! I'm going to try that myself!

Jenny, you are going to do just fine. This is the hardest struggle of most of our lives and I have faith you will overcome! (I love Bunco!)

Leens, don't you just hate those shots they give the babies? I used to make my husband go with my daughter (until these past 2 years), but at age 3 she had to be reimmunized COMPLETELY because the pediatrician she had was arrested for watering down his innoculations. It broke my heart to watch her so upset about a "poke". But, thank goodness, she all done now!

Scooby, good luck at the dentist. I go back next week for a permanent crown and CAN NOT wait to get rid of this nasty little tin thing covering what is left of my tooth.

That's about it for me. I am staying OP, still wishing I would get the motivation to exercise. But, also, it's TOM and always so much water retention!

Have a great day everyone here and those to come!
