Good morning, Hensa - what a nice way to start the day! And it also reminded me that I need to buy Halloween goodies today - been avoiding that until the last minute. DH and I have a deal - if there are leftovers, he will put them in the trunk of his car tonight!
Yesterday started well but ended up being frustrating. I got nothing done on what I'd planned in the morning at the Office. Long story but I wound up doing stuff for other folks all morning. Did get my hair cut in the afternoon and visited with my darling doggie and her pups for a bit. I do have a picture but it does not scan well - black dogs come out like ink blots, I'm afraid.
This morning is my music lesson in Smiths Falls (30 mins away) and then I have a gynecologist appointment at 2:30 in the same town. So will be on the road 2 hours today! Naturally I will want to come home and take a bath before the doc! The little kiddies start coming to the door at 5:30 so it's going to be a tight schedule.
Hope everyone's mischief night was safe and today's halloween a pleasnt one.
Its very grey and gloomy out today, they are still doing road work so its quite noisy outside.....oy. Was going to go to the store but since they are ripping the road infront of my house I guess I'll have to wait
Other than that its a quiet day, gonna go get me some coffee and boil those baby bottles
Ruthie don't forget to wear your Cowboy Boots for your gyno visit....this way when your feet are in they stirups you're not under dressed
It's going to be a warm day today, about 60 to 65, so maybe some children will be out and about.
Yesterday, I finished a sewing project and decided to clean the sewing room before starting the next one. I'm putting a sleeve on the back of a quilt to hang on the wall in the livingroom. It's difficult to decorate that room as there are 3 windows and 5 doors in it. Anyway, my cats Tippy and brat "helped" me. At least Brat doesn't pull the pins out of pincushon and spit them all over anymore. Dreadful little animal! Now he just puts teeth marks in anything biteable while Tippy sleeps on whatever looks comfortable. And, I've learned not to take my diuretic before going upstairs to the sewingroom. By the time I get down the stairs, I don't have to use the bathroom anymore! Aging is not for the timid!
Take care and God bless!
Just got my little kitty off to her daycare this morning. She's so darned cute! They are having a Halloween party at the school today and all the kids are getting dressed up for it. Tonight, we are going to the next town over to go trick ortreating with my friend and her son and some of her neighbours. After all this excitement, I expect she wil be one tired little girl! Dh has candy duty tonight, I personally think he likes it because he eats the leftovers!
Pumpkin carved last night, oh my was that ever funny! She took a hold of the black marker and scribbled all over the pumpkin and I told her what to put on it. My dh marveled that she at least got the eyes, nose and mouth in the right positions, problem was they were lopsided and too small! I handled the big pumpkin, two stars for eyes, a moon for a nose and a big wide smile. Dh cut out Miree's pumpkin, he made it a scary one with ears sticking out.
Happy Halloween to everyone!!!!! Have to take hubby back to the doctor today to check on his knee, and then back home to clean.... We live out of town in the woods so no trick or treaters. Sure miss seeing those little ones all dressed up....
We're having wonderful spring like weather here in the Ozarks its just unbelieveable. So a good time to open up all the windows and enjoy...
I'm getting closer to digging out my treadmill.... oooo need to sooo bad...
Hope everyone has a great day... Toni
Wanted to stop in a say hi real quick! Getting DD ready for her day and she's going to be a ballerina. Tonight for trick-or-treat she's going to be Barbie. Can you tell she's 4? LOL!!!
Took the kids to the ZOO last night for trick or treating. They loved it and got to see all kinds of charachters and such. It was great fun.
THey came here to see me at work today all dressed up, DS is Batman and DD is Clifford the Big Red Dog. They are so sweet. I wish they could stay little forever.
We live so far out we won't have any visitors tonite...I got candy just in case but it is doubtful I will need it.
I am currently busily working, not really enjoying it but working nevertheless. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!!!
Not much on my homefront. ready for halloween here have tons of candy and the kids are all ready to go out!!!
cleaning the house, do not have any meat in the house for dinner so i guess i will be ordering pizza, and have some ham for my dinner!!! Dh is starting a new assignment and has no idea when he will get home so it is safest that way. DD will say home and pass the candy with her boyfriend so they get the left overs.(I bet they shut the light off!!!
Heck! It's snowing right now! Poor little kids! I hope it stops in the next hour because I have candy and raisins and chips sitting ready to go! Am I in trouble?
My 4 year old DD decided to stop trick-or-treating after 15 or so houses, because, "Mommy, you can't have any candy and it wouldn't be fair for me to have a whole bunch!" How cute is that?
Today at work I had an audit, and I don't know who was more clueless, me or the auditor. Needless to say, she'll be back tomorrow. GROAN!!! Why me???????????????
Everyone have a safe Halloween, and just say NO to the chocolates, ok?
Just wanted to pop in and say "Happy Halloween!" It's been awhile. Teaching is HARD! DEMANDING! and STRESSFUL and I like it a lot (but notice that I don't say love it a lot (not yet anyway). Teaching Comp I and II is a lot like raising teenagers -- they NEED to hear what I have to say and they SHOULD hear what I have to say but they don't necessarily WANT to hear what I have to say! And, if they don't want to badly enough, they just skip class. What's that all about?
Well, anyway...
I've popped in and around and read some stuff -- but not nearly enough to catch up on everything and everyone I don't know. I'm sure glad you're all still here -- I'm not as fair weather a friend as I seem -- just distracted!
Hey there, Sooner. Good to see you again. I'm still here, even though I probably shouldn't be cos I don't really low carb anymore. Still, I don't eat HIGH carb either and anyhow I like it here.
Today I'm celebrating another small victory but one I'm quite proud of. I climbed the 16 stairs at my local rec center without having to haul myself up by the railing. I did them all without stopping and no hands involved. You should have seen me at the top though. I didn't quite fall flat on my face but I barely made it to the nearest bench.
I'm definitely going to commit to strength training. I've done two sessions now ( at home) and I really think this can be beneficial. Right now, the biggest strain is getting down to the floor and back up for the floor work. Hoping the new muscles I create will help burn off some of this flab.
I only got 5 kids at my door and they were all from one family. Now I have mini-Snickers bars calling my name. HEEEEELLLLPPP!
