Hi everyone!

I could just copy and paste my usual post here:
nothing new
leaving for work
not OP
housework this weekend
love you all

That's it! I have been lurking once or twice a week, but since I am eating fast food for every meal the scale is up, up, up. For the first time in ages, I have not been weighing myself daily- I haven't had the strength to face it- but I did today. Up 3 lbs. These are the same 3 I have lost 3 times in the last 3 months. And they are on top of 5 lbs that I gained before that and never lost. UGH this is so frustrating!

I will go post a menu for today like a good girl, it does help!

Got to go now, but hi to you all!
love, dottie

Good morning Hensa, Dottie, and all those to come!

Far too busy yesterday to even consider sitting down at the computer to do some reading/posting. I am in full swing production of Christmas gifts, I would ideally like to have them completed for the end of November. Having a bit of trouble on one project--I am crocheting some baby blocks for my new nephew and my friend's infant daughter, can't seem to get the seams right. Oh well, I'll keep clugging away at it, maybe divine inspiration will come to me!

Dh comes home today, late tonight or early this morning depending on how you look at it! Not much on the agenda today save for my appointment with the ultrasound to find out what's going on with me *down there* and why TOM has a mind of it's own!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning---i think i see a patch of blue this morning. Already i can feel myself smiling--gloomy days get me done.

Who said they were "queen of ebay"? Well, i'm princess of ebay and together we can have a geat ebaydom. I'm looking for christmas gifts right now. Just bought a "first day cover"1948 stamped evelope for my hard to buy for 14 year old nephew. Think i'll enclose some money in it and be done w/him.

Nothing much on the agenda today. Just the normal domestic goddess stuff. Have a library function i might go to--depends if i want to put my bra on or not!!!! carol k

Hensa, you are definitely in ONEderland - hope you enjoy(ed) your afternoon off.

Dottie, I just don't seem to be able to get it together either! No fast food spots in Delta but I seem to find other ways to sin.

Pooky, you are making ALL your Christmas gifts? Wow! If you get done early, I have lots of ideas for my gifts. Hope the ultra-sound goes well. Try not to sneeze!

Worked hard all day yesterday doing cooking for the freezer. Priscilla was at the office on the computer so I could not go there. It was just as well because I drank cranberry juice and water and spent a lot of the time heading for the can. The bladder infection seems much better today - how do these damned things start anyhow? And don't tell ME it was too much sex!

Still drizzling out there. The leaves have fallen from the big old maple in the lane - like walking through soggy cornflakes.

Hershey and I will go over to the office shortly and get cracking on the Financial Reports. I do love having that doggie with me at the office - and at meetings - and in Church. Have a Church Wardens' meeting tomorrow morning so have to get started on the Fair Board stuff today for sure.

Have a great TGIF.

Default Ahhhh, it's Friday

Can you believe I slept 10 hours! This is the lady(?) that used to get by on 5. Am wondering if the heart situation had anything to do with that. The phone woke me. It is a man who is delivering our firewood from Pine Valley. Yes, Erica Cain must have a new business! LOL! for those who don't know Erica, she is on some soap opera in America.
Also, I have no appetite! Isn't that wondeful! I do eat though and I try to keep it LC, low fat, etc. I discovered my scale is about 8 pounds off from the hospitals. Darn, I weight more than I thought.
Am going to do some cleaning and laundry. And, I'm making a peanut butter pie! We'll both enjoy a piece and sent it to DD house! I feel that by not depriving myself I will not be so tempted to eat so much.
Also, we're researching the Abdoer exerciser that is advertised on TV. It looks like something I can do without hurting my hips or legs. The post polio syndrome specialist said NO EXERCISE, but I feel that a little mild workout would be beneficial.
Have a good weekend everyone! God bless!

Default Queen of Ebay

Hey carolk, I'm the Queen of Ebay (you may all bow now!) Since quitting my job this summer, I've become royalty, although I sell stuff, don't buy too much. I did get a really cute outfit today - maybe it will help me get out of jeans every so often!

Ruth, I'd laugh at the image of you running to the can, denying an evening of wild sex - But, damn girl, bladder infections hurt too much to laugh at. Hope you feel completely better soon!

Tippy - I'm a little worried about the ab-doer thing. Sometimes exercise machines and exercises work muscles that you least expect. Be careful please! We don't want anymore scary reports on you!

Gotta go sell junk to the masses!

Good news. I somehow managed to lose 1.6 lb (that's 1 lb and a bit, not 16 btw) while on vacation in Scotland. Yippeee! I knew there had to be some good come from all those stairs I climbed and all those hills I trudged up. Now, if only I can stay motivated to continue the exercising. There's an interesting article in the newest edition of Readers Digest. It profiles a young woman who has always been fat but very fit. She amazed the docs because she had the vascular system of an athlete but the body of a couch potato. She began doing special exercises and weight training and lost 100 lb. She's still not skinny and probably never will be (which she's willing to live with) but she's very healthy, strong and fit. I think that's the aim of most of us here so something to work on.
I see some new names here so just want to say a warm hello to newbies Tippy, leens and Henlady.
Hensa, congrats on your weight loss. I too am dreaming of the day I'll be under that horrible 200. It's a long way off for me but I'm very happy for you. Loved your photos, by the way. What a honey. Did I ever mention that my daughter's in-laws are from S. Africa...the Durban area? Daughter says that now her S. African hubby is living in Scotland he says he doesn't miss all that sunshine one bit. We'll see how he feels by mid-February. LOL
Ruth, hope the cranberry juice is working its miracle for you. Been there and done that and it's no fun. Take care of yourself.
Pooky, once again I'm stunned with admiration for your creativity. Here you are making Christmas gifts already and I'm trying to figure out a way to weasel out of Christmas altogether. I'm so fed up with my teenage grandsons that I don't want to get either of them anything. Not a phone call or word of welcome since I got back from Scotland. When I phoned my daughter and #2 grandson answered it was like he couldn't wait to pass me off to my daughter. Sick of being treated like a 2nd class citizen by these two walking attitudes.
Dottie, I think we all have been where you are and understand how hard it is to get back on track. Be kind to yourself and it will happen for you. With the NY disaster happening right on your doorstep, it's understandable that you're a bit off track right now.

Although I'm not strictly low carb, I do try to keep my WW program on the lower carb side. Since getting home from Scotland I find that I'm burning out by late afternoon (probably coz in Scotland I'd be in bed by then) but I'm snacking to revive myself. Not a good habit to get back into so it's something I'll have to work on.
I just did a major grocery shopping so I have no excuse for not having the right snacks on hand.
Have a great weekend, Chicks.
