Default Bathing suit help!

I need something that supports and lifts my sort of saggy breasts, plays down my monster thighs, and will accommodate a long torso.

I know many people say "boy shorts" for the thigh issue, but since my thighs rub together, I have found that boy shorts only wind up being a day of tugging them down constantly.

Any thoughts? It seems like many suits just don't have the structure I need. I HOPE to be a little more confident and weighing less by summer, but I need a suit for two weeks from now.

Oooh, also, I'm 24. I would prefer something a little younger.

Land's End and LL Bean are good places to look although I think Land's End has more at this time of year. Just check out their sites on the net.

I bought a miracle suit from Eddie Bauer and I really liked it. For long torso, I definitely recommend a Tankini. I have a long torso as well.

Junonia has a nice selection of swimwear too. I just bought a clearance ($49.95...yes, their normal prices are on the high side) one-piece suit that's not super-young looking but not at all old looking. Solid color (I chose bright blue), fully lined, support for the girls, basic styling, and it hooks behind the neck. Keyhole back, I think. I love that back hook style because there is NO chance of straps slipping off my shoulders. I find that it's pointless to try to hide the thigh issue; skirts and shorts styles just seem to emphasize the area. See, if you give the girls their support, everyone will be looking away from your thighs anyway!

I love Lands End swimsuits. They are not cheap but they are worth it. They really are tugless, as they claim. Also on their website they have the "Virtual Model" feature where you enter in your stats and come up with a model that looks like you so you can try on the suit and see what you would look like in it. I did that last year and ended up ordering a different suit than what I was attracted to initially. And I believe it really was more flattering for me. I used to think Lands End had only very conservative suits but lately they have diversified and have some youthful styles, bikinis, etc. as well. Also for some of them that come in separates you can buy top and bottom in different sizes. Good luck!

I bought one at swimsuits for all. That is online. They seemed to have a pretty good amount of suits and a large variety of prices. I think I paid $38 for mine.

Default Great website

Check out Alwaysforme.com. If you have no problem shopping online they have really cute swimsuits. I'm like you, I'm 24 and it's hard to find a nice swimsuite. They have everything for Speedo's to really cute, girly suits!! Check it out!

Another vote for Junonia from me. I got this one and it keeps everything in place and I am very bouncy so it's a good thing.

But this one might work better for the thigh issue

Look for fully lined and tankinis if you can't find a long that is long enough.

I have to share mine now!

http://www.junonia.com/detail-366830...wim%5FSuit.htm

Looks a bit dull in the picture but it's smashing on. Hmm, it says it's a "long-fitting style." I do tend to go for longer-torsoed suits. I used to think I might just be buying them small and deluding myself, but with this one I began with the size larger than I have now and it had loose material so I exchanged, and the one I kept fits like a charm.

I really liked yours, lizziness, too.

JCPenney always has cute bathing suits but you'll probably end up spending more than you'd like if you are buying it at the beginning of the season. I picked up a cute suit there last year that is a tankini-style suit. It is flattering and slimming and they carried it in sizes large enough to fit me (I am about a size 16 but I am also very tall).

Target doesn't seem to ever carry larger size bathing suits.

Kohl's might be another good choice, although I don't know if they have locations outside of the Midwest.

Happy Bathing Suit Shopping!!!

My Target has a HUGE rack of Tankinis in the Plus Size section. I've been eyeing them for weeks now :-)

I love tankini's, and I usually buy alot of mix and match swim wear. basic swim shorts, with a bit longer length, it covers my upper thighs, with different tankini tops. Wal-Mart always has a huge wall of mix n match suits, especially right now.

Land's End - totally.
their suits are awesome, expensive, but when I bought a 2-piece tankini and got it in the mail, that $100 was totally worth it.

Their tankinis cover belly, but you still have the movement of a 2-piece, and you can mix/match with a high-waist bottom that helps manage the middle.

In my opinion, the Esther Williams swimsuit line can't be beat. Even her bikini tops will fully support those who sag.

All the styles are super sexy, yet the coverage is for the more modest among us. Sizes go up to 26.

For some unknown reason, her own website is just awful and does nothing to showcase her own beautiful swimwear line. It all looks kind of bleah on her site. Sites like retrodress dot com (a retro shop with NEW Esther Williams bathing suits. look under Vintage Clothing, Other Stuff, page 6) have much better photos and offer a wider variety of her styles than her own site does. Go figure.

Swimsuitsforall dot com also had some nice clear close-up photos of her plus size swimwear but for some reason they don't always come up in a site search.
