Default Tall boots anyone? for larger legs.. pish

ha hey everyone Im looking for some websites that have tall boots (either those sassy black kind.. or that trendy kind w/ the fur and stuff) that fit calves that aren't on a size 2 frame ha. I saw some on Torrid.com but I was looking more for the flat ones or the flat ones w/ furry tops Thanks to anyone who knows....

I don't know about furry tops but I have some tall boots that I got from zappos.com. I love them.

I can second Zappos for tall boots with wide calf.

womanwithin.com has some specifically wide-calf boots for plus sizers. See post above for a discount code as well.

I was just at the Bass Outlet Store and got a pair for myself. I have ALWAYS wanted a pair but have never been able to zip 'em more than 1/2 way up because of my monstorous calves. Not anymore! These boots are fantastic! If you've got a Bass outlet in your area, check it out!

Barefoot Tess might have some options for you. They specialize in larger sizes, but they've got some dang cute shoes.

I found a few pairs of suede boots at Payless, too.

Also, I've heard that you can take leather/suede boots in and have the calves stretched.

I know the problem w/boot shopping for larger calves, but what about the socks that go with them? I had a heck of a time finding even good trouser socks to stay up.

Look for plus size trouser socks. You can find them almost anywhere. Just my size carries them but so does walmart, target, lane bryant, avenue, etc.

I got some black suede with the fur from zappos and the leather looking with a med heel from sketchers.

I've had success with Avenue and Lane Bryant socks, too.

We have Walmart here in Hawaii, but no good plus size stores like Lane Bryant, Avenue, heck, we don't even have Target YET.... I hear a buzz that they are coming by 2009. Until then, I always have to wait until I travel again to the mainland to do some real good shopping.

Hopefully I may go down in weight so I won't be needing the stores like LB or Ave, but my calves have always been pretty big no matter how small I got.
