Do you think I would look good with short hair? Any feedback would be appreciated.
My hair is very thick, coarse and naturally wavy. It tends to be a little wild and frizzy (when long). Its been long for about 6 or so years now but before that I usually had it short. I think it does well with layers but I have to watch out for it getting too poofy. And, it straighter when shorter. I want to look professional yet have something that is low maintenance. I let my hair air-dry now as it would take way to long to blow dry it. I tend to pull my hair back a lot which I fear is leading to some hair loss.
I've got a hair cut appointment for Saturday. I hope the stylist will have some suggestions but not talk me out of it. I really think I need a change. I think ultimately I want to go quite short like the last (Hillary) pic but maybe start with something a little longer.
KatMarie -- looking at your pics, it looks like you got your hair cut towards the end of your weight-loss journey. Do you wish you would've done it earlier? Or did you prefer debut your shorter hair along with your new body? (You're weight loss is so inspirational!)
I'm just restarting my weight-loss journey and am at my heaviest ever.
My hair is stick straight so I may be totally wrong about this, but it seems to me you'd have to blow dry and maybe flat iron your hair to get it to look good for those shorter cuts. I'd probably pick something a little on the longer side of short to get used to it and make sure I liked it before going as short as the Hillary cut. Just in case I hated short hair.
Have you tried to see what it would look like on you with one of those virtual makeover websites? I was contemplating short hair a couple of years ago (when son #2 was born), tried on a bunch of different virtual hairstyles, and decided I could not pull off short hair.
If you like it, go for it! I think shorter hair can be really flattering on lot of people. We like to fool ourselves that we are hiding behind long hair but c'mon Go for it! It's hair, it will grow back!
