What clothes did you buy today?
I want to start a thread for ladies who buy clothes thru their weight loss to show it off because we know that it feels good to buy something that looks nice and may not be something you'd usually wear. I personally love to bargain shop and find clothes at a reduced price. So I'll be sharing my finds
Here's what I got yesterday to go out with some friends for tea! I paid 17 total for the dress and shoes from a beals outlet dress was 14.99 and shoes were 5ish on clearance and I received 10% off for bein younger than 40 or something hah. So it's shorter than what i would normally wear but I loved how my legs looked, I felt my legs were super slim in it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps9098df61.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps186325e1.jpg And I adored how the top part looked, made me feel feminine Edit! I wanted to add my hiking outfit I got there yesterday, Columbia capris and a pale green jessica Simpson top for 20 total for both. Original price was 50 for the pants and 28 for the top. I love a steal http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps1546fee4.jpg I really hope this thread takes off and we can share our fun clothes! |
I bought a pair of jeans and a top that was on clearance. The total price I paid was $12.60 at khols! Can't beat that!!! They have tons of clearance stuff right now.
Original price for the jeans was $48, the top was $24.00 |

Thedollylala, I just want to tell you that you look absolutely beautiful! Those look like goal weight photos to me!
|
I love the idea for this thread! I shall post in it at 161! (That's my first scale mini goal according to my app on my phone-its 1/3 of the weight I have to lose) And at the time I WILL have a new outfit and I WILL post photos :D

I bought a new bathing suit top (tankini style) http://www.1-plus.com/Printed-tankin...parel-Swimwear . The store had a special, any full price item 50% off, and I had a $15 off voucher for being a member of their loyalty program. So a $50 item became $10 plus tax. I didn't like any of the swim bottoms they had at that location, so I went to walmart and got a couple plain black high cut bottoms. My old bathing suit is a little too big, and hubby and I rented a hotel room for our 1st anniversary and there's a nice pool at the hotel.

Dang i adore red hair and you look great. i only wish i had A BUNCH OF MONEY, lol..to support my wannabe shopping addiction
Didn't buy anything today YET but i do want to find that perfect pair of skinny jeans, i have none as of yet and i have to shop carefully as i'm older (but i still like "young" looking clothes) and i have a bit of a tummy due to loose skin but i still think i can rock skinny jeans as i just did buy a pair of purple peep toed platform pumps that would look great w/skinny jeans. |
My most recent purchase was a bathing suit, a dress, a floral button up top, and a pair of shorts. I'll post pics when I'm not on my phone. :)
I said I'd post pics and here they are! I don't have any of me in anything I bought cept my bathing suit; the rest of these are from the store I bought them from. Just ladies?
I go clothes shopping weekly because my body is like a moving target at the moment. Pants and shirts seem to either fit one day and are like balloons the next or are too tight one day and then just right a week or two later. Same with belts. IT IS DOING MY HEAD IN! This week, a new belt (36 inch), a blazer (48 inch chest) and a pair of black Levi's (36 inch waist). For the record my starting weight belts/pants were 44 inches and my starting weight blazers were 52 inch chest. 180 bucks. Weight loss ain't cheap for me 'cos of da clothes. |

No way!! Share away!! And hooray for new levis!! |
I bought a cute Purple Sundress today..its a size 12 ! i havent worn in a dress in like forever but it was cute and on sale so i decided to go for it.
|
I bought a really cute pink and white stripe long summer dress (in a size medium !!!!!!!!! that's so crazy.)
I also went to the thrift shop and bought 2 pairs of really cute workout capris. Also they look like they haven't been worn at all. The woman in front of me in the checkout line was having issues. I waited patiently and the cashier gave me 30% off for being nice! So I spent $9 on 2 capris! Sweet! Lastly I got a pair of really cute pair of sandals (slingback, cork, peep-toe, about 3 inches high) and I can't not wait to wear them out! |
Grey tie. Grey dockers.
|
Mimsy!! Yay on a size 6 bathing suit!!!! Looks great!!
Tibbits: I'm loving dresses too now that I'm slimmer! They are so fun Sunnyside: yay for a dress buy for you too!! And hoorayfor a great deal thrift shopping! Ian: sounds wonderful! Is it a tie tie or a bow tie? Because bow ties are awesome (and cool)! |
Mimsy (Lauren)- Oh my gosh, you are so tiny now!!! I love that bathing suit on you. You look SO good!!! Gosh, I hope I look as good as you when I get near goal.
|
How inspiring! I can't wait to be able to post something here!
|
Mimsy - where did you find that suit?! I love it, and I need one! You look fantastic!
I bought a Columbia rain jacket on clearance at Dick's (wonder if it will bleep that out?) Sporting Goods yesterday. Even on clearance it was $40, but I haven't been able to find one under $65 and I really needed one. It's a size small! I have been in larges since high school! I will post a pic tomorrow, it's supposed to rain. ;) |
I bought a couple cheap summery dresses ($15/dress) and leggings ($6). Plus found a couple sweet deals on running clothes at Winners: Adidas Longevity Jacket ($35) and 90 Degree (Reflex) crop pants ($17). I don't want to by too much as I've still got lots to lose but I couldn't resist.
And man, is it nice to have an ACTUAL reason to need proper active wear. :) |
Just a boring rain jacket, but I feel good in it! Excuse my nasty work bathroom.

I bought a pair of capris on Satuday. A size down from where I was in the store - which is great! I also went to Victoria's Secret and bought a new bra and undies :) Nothing fancy.
|
friday while in the restroom at work, I was able to pull down my dress pants without unbuttoning / unzipping them and that was a major NSV for me :D so Saturday after gym I decided I needed to go see what changed exactly.
Guess what!!! I ended up buying myself a size 18 jeans. :carrot: The dress pants were a size 22W :o and the jeans I would wear normally were a size 22W too with a special 'tummy tuck' band that would give me more red lines on the waist than actually 'tuck' anything !! They are now way too loose :D P.S: The ticker below isn't moving though. So I am really not sure why I am falling dress sizes but not scale numbers :( |
Loving this thread! I don't really have a need to buy clothes right now...but when I do, I'll post!
|
LJ---you are so pretty!!! Love the jacket too!
|
I got new running shoes! Hubby paid for most as a mothers day gift, I'm so excited to try them out and have a run, man they are bright, I feel I need to get brighter work out tops.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps8b3ea2c4.jpg |
I love the soles on those running shoes - they look like a cut up avocado :-)
I just bought a bunch of new clothes from Asos, including a really cute green lace skater dress. I was barely fitting into a UK 26 when I first started my weight loss journey, these are a UK 22 it fits. I bought some other stuff but I'm not convinced about the material so I'm going to send it back and order other basics that I can dress up/dress down. I'm losing shrinking so quickly, I can't seem to fit in anything for more than a few weeks before it's time to buy a smaller version... Not that i'm complaining! |
I had to exchange them because they were too big one shoe kept slipping off my right foot, I'm bummed cause they didn't have the size I needed. I'll post a pic of the new ones soon :)
|
I ordered 3 dresses off loft.com because they had an extra 60% off sale prices. I'm hoping I like them because they were final sale! I will post when they arrive.
|
Bought some cheap tees like this one in various colors. Also bought a nice, springy top that I will have to post a pic of later.....

Cool thread, wonderful pictures ladies! Everyone is lookin' great...and getting great bargains apparently! I'm suuuuper cheap when it comes to buying clothes for myself...whilst my toddlers stain their Gymboree....(What was I thinking?). However my pants have literally been falling off...so I had to run to Goodwill, which can be VERY hit or miss. Fortunately I chanced upon three awesome (and new with tags!) pairs of workout pants for just $6 bucks each. Oh yeah...I bought all of them. AND a few tanks for $3 each. I'm trying to make myself wait to buy a bunch of clothes until I reach 100lbs lost...hence the yoga pants. :) Can't wait to dress up a bit though!

Thank you soooo much Elvislover! How sweet of you to say that. I have no doubt you look great right now. I've been meaning to take progress pics, so I guess this kind of counts :) I'll have to take a whole body shot someday, but with my sunglasses on....trying to keep some anonymity, maybe I shouldn't care by now at this point but for some reason I still do ;) Thanks again for the wonderful compliment  |

Here's what i bought *LE SQUEAL* first pair of skinny jeans and purple pumps. Please let me know if my body isn't for skinny jeans. i sure like them but need honesty :D

Cherrypie and Reillyj you guys look great!!
So I just went for my Friday bargain shopping at beals I'm so proud of myself, I'll post pics of me in them later http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...psf29be431.jpg 1.81 for a Columbia sweater Original price http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...psf96d91aa.jpg |
One of my tops I bought, and a glimpse of the shoes I got instead of my amazing orange ones, these will do tho.
I love it for working out, it's so light! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps96e50cf1.jpg |
So I bought this dress on a complete whim!!! But when I did buy it, it didn't fit and kept it in my closet until I could wear it.
But of course, to spare myself the disappointment of looking bad I wouldn't even try it on, but then I thought, the heck with it, let's get it over with, and it fits!! although I don't think I would wear it out yet. I feel like I got some Michelin tire thing going on in the stomach area, maybe with shapewear or something??? Thedollylala- I love love love those shoes!!! |
thnknthin1 - that's a really pretty color on you!!
cherrypie - you look great and nice dress! Thedollylala - you go girl! (the pic and the receipt) :D ReillyJ - nice, nice shoes! I bet that would look great with a little black dress with a purple clutch. I went thrift shopping last night and I can not get over what nice items I've been finding there. I bought a cute tube top, an adidas workout tanktop, a long grey and sliver sequin top (looks awesome with leggings since it hugs my body), a basic spaghetti strap tank top and a pair of jeans that cost $6 that fits my body so well. The best thing is I spent less than $30 on everything! |
