Covergirl liquid to powder foundation in Ivory Covergirl blush in deep plum, I believe Covergirl pressed powder in ivory, in the blue container (for oily skin, I think) Eyes: Medium to light shade on the lid, darker in the crease, white on the brow. Color varies. Covergirl perfect point plus eyeliner in espresso or Maybelline Define-a-Line liner in brown-black Combo of Covergirl lash blast fusion and Maybelline Falsies mascara Lips: Baby lips? Baby soft? Either way, it's peach lip balm from Maybelline. Or Covergirl wetslicks in plum. or sometimes, just Blistex when I'm in a rush. |
I LOVE makeup!
Face - Philosophy The Present primer Bare Escentuals summer bisque as concealer and all over lids Bare Escentuals medium sunscreen, sometimes medium foundation and mineral veil Eyes - Urban Decay Sin primer potion 2-3 shades eye shadow - Bare Escentuals, Tarte, Stila are all in the rotation :D Liner! Urban Decay 24/7 (again various shades), Bare Escentuals powder liner, Sephora waterproof, or the big chunky Tarte waterproof stick Lips - some sort of lip balm - I'm still searching for the perfect tinted lip balm with SPF. Until then, I have a collection of everything from $2 Carmex to $22 Fresh Special occasion - mascara and lipgloss or real lipstick |
Ahhh I love makeup posts. I honestly don't wear makeup on a daily basis because I am in the same building for ten to eleven hours and it would make me crazy. I do love makeup and love doing it. My makeup changes depending on where I'm going and the colors I'm wearing, so there isn't a "everyday" color for me in any of the stuff I use. I am a huge Benefit fan, but also use a lot of MAC, Urban Decay, Stila, Smashbox, Dior, Too Faced and even a bit of NYX.

i have such a hard time keeping a makeup that i'm happy with and i'm too stubborn to go to ulta/sephora/the counter.
but here's my current: monistat chafing relief powder gel when i have it & feel like using it, as a primer. i love a good bargain. and i ain't scared to put vag cream on my face..ahaha. covergirl "clean" makeup for sensitive skin #220 creamy natural only the sensitive skin version of this is a wonderful light pink tone. perfect for me. covergirl natureluxe in "alabaster" was another one i liked, but it seemed to be breaking me out. :( olay total effects dark circle minimizing brush everyday minerals semi-matte base powder in "sandy fair" almay smart shade cream blush in "natural" eyes? whatever mascara i can find in "brown" near impossible. i usually settle for "black-brown" brows? cover girl eye&brow makers in "soft brown"..somehow matches with my red hair because a lot of people are under the impression that this is my natural brow color. wrong. i'd like to find a brow pencil for redheads. considering buying online lips? balm. any balm. untinted. my lips are naturally rosy, so i find i don't need tint. its funny to me to post what i use because i feel like i have no idea. i only use makeup to even out my skintone and give my cheeks some color. the mascara because my lashes are blonde and invisible. the brow pencil because my brows are blonde and invisible. |
moisturizer(Loreal, Aloe Day cream from the body shop, sometimes shea butter) and lip gloss?
lol |
skin: soap and water (except for my beard and moustache - then i use his schick razor and my raspberry-scented shaving foam intended for legs)
eyes: nothing lips: nothing eyebrows: nothing now, if i WERE to wear makeup, it'd be: skin - mineral foundation, touch of contouring to reshape my nose eyes - liquid black eyeliner, black mascara lips: - cream foundation and concealer to wipe out my entire mouth and scar - very dark lip liner to completely reshape my upper lip - bottom lip - medium tone lipstick - top lip: left side two shades lighter than right side (to bring the left side out more and push the right side back a bit and get them kind of looking equal) - centre bottom lip - dab of silver glimmer gloss (pulls attention away from the top lip) - sealer over everything it can take me several tries and a good 20min or so to get my lips right. now you know why i can't be arsed. |
Oh I loved reading what products you ladies use. I'm not much for make up actually, I don't wear foundation at all, I just feel uncomfortable using it. I wash my face with a face gel I got at Sephora (their in house brand) and then apply my Vichy anti imperfections and anti wrinkles face cream, along with the Clinique rich eye cream. After that it's just:
-Coralista by Benefit blush -High Beam by Benefit face iluminator -Benefit Benetint lip stain (I just prefer a lip stain rather than a lipstick because it's lighter on the lips, doesn't feel sticky and lasts longer) -whatever mascara is closest to me at that moment, lately it's been L'Oreal Volumissime. |
oohh makeup !!! hehe
face stuff im not big on ... i dont like anything on my face i will claw at it ... call me gross but i cannot wash my face i have a phobia of washing my face i splash water at it but cannot close my eyes to use soap ... i dont even close my eyes when i swim and trust me it burns. lips ... well i lick them and hope for the best i dont like the feel of lipstick i do like lipstain if im going out though eyes ... oh hello ... eyeshadow primer by ELF white chubby eye crayon in milk shade by NYX ( a base for color to go on brighter ) depending on how i feel some ridiculous color colaboration from the 120 eyeshadow pallet i have , if im feeling plain ill just dust on some lavender though it seems to be my go to color. eyeliner gel from WET AND WILD omg i love it if you are a liner junkie like me please youtube the review from this i love love love it !!! and indian KHOL powder to line my upper and lower waterlines and mascara ... i try different mascaras all the time yet to find one i love .... lol i have a box full of eyemakeup ... i own one lipstick that i use for halloween or for in the winter i use it as a cream blush lolz |

Oh and the only mascara I have found to be truly different (and I try a different one every few months...) is Dior by Christian Dior. Expensive, but amazing! |
My mother had the most beautiful intense makeup routine that I observed in awe as a child. As I've gotten older, my face is starting to look more like hers, and I find that I imitate a lot of the makeup she wore in the 90's. One thing I have always done that she did is using my lipstick/stain as my blush.
Face A topical retinoid for wrinkles/acne at night Jouer tinted moisturizer L'oreal concealer/illuminator pen Eyes I define my brows with a brush dipped in a little Lancome brown shadow Fiberwig mascara I use the same shadow as a liner if I'm feeling fancy Lips Besides a defined brow, this is where I go big Just Bitten lipstain in Crave (deep berry) or Revlon lipstick in Siren, a beautiful orange or Nars Velvet lip pencil in Cruella, a true, matte red I love dramatic lips with a practically nude eye, especially during the day. It makes me feel so distinct, and I love the ritual of pulling out my compact and reapplying lip color. |

I had the same problem but when I was using Mac eyeshadow primer, but I switched to Urban decay's primer, not a problem anymore!! Trax is my absolute fav MAC eyeshadow, just glad the creasing is gone now :) Btw are you talking about DiorShow?? I've heard so many good things about it but I can't justify the $$$ just yet lol, one day I might just shell out the money for it! Anyone try Urban Decay's new eyeshadows?? |
Daily: Burts Bees mango lip balm. LOL.
Some days: Clinque quick corrector beneath my eyes and whatever else I need to cover up. When I make an effort every few weeks or so: A tri-color blush from Aveda; black mascara from Clinque; some sort of lip gloss (I have a few I like). I seriously need help with makeup. I have NO idea what to do with it, and every time I've had it done by someone else I feel like I look like a clown. |

That's true, I have that primer (well a small sample size) and it does work amazingly well. The truth is though that my makeup routine is already SO INCREDIBLY TIME CONSUMING that I can't be bothered to add that extra step most of the time. I am one of those people that never leaves the house without makeup and when I go out for a 'night on the town' I do the works! I have the skillz, if I do say so myself LOL. DiorShow IS amazing. The first time I used it I was taken aback by the largeness of the brush. But after a few times using it, I got the hang of it and it just gives better results than any other mascara. I tried cheaper big brush mascaras but they don't work as well so it must be the formula as well. But it is so expensive that I usually only get it for special occasions. I throw out any mascaras I have past 3 months of age. Lately I've been using the Great Lash cheapy after intenstively curling my eye lashes because its a good 'extremely cheap' option...but can't compete with Dior. Beauty mags always give Covergirl mascaras all kind of awards which makes me try them again and they ALWAYS SUCK! I don't understand how they win these awards other than the magazines that give them those rewards probably rely heavily on their advertizing dollars. Okay rant over. lol. I spend too much on makeup so now I'm trying to focus on just using the stuff I already have. |

If you want to get better at makeup, now is the perfect time to get better at it! There are SO MANY AMAZING tutorials on youtube. Seriously, I could watch those videos for hours. Girls will post step by step how they achieve their makeup looks...it is great for learning new techniques. I even watch the drag queen tutorials when I'm feeling dramatic lol. I wish I'd had youtube as a teenager. Would have saved me a lot of time and HORRIBLE looks lol. My mom NEVER wears makeup so I had to learn everything through trial and error on my own. |

I totally do this!! I could spend hours doing makeup!!! It's like therapy for me! I've been using makeup as my "prizes" for every lbs I lose, so 5lbs lost $5 something, if i lose 10 lbs then i can spend $10! haha it's lame but when I go to sephora and see products I get motivated! Oh and I agree covergirl sucks!! I'm using Supercurl by Urban Decay (90% of my makeup is UD) but I'm trying to explore now! it works great by lengthening and separating but it's just not enough volume! Guess I'll need to lose a good 40lbs before I can buy Diorshow. You know everyone seems to love Great Lash but I just can't get it to work for me...still looking for that cheap but awesome mascara! |

I also agree about YouTube. I am constantly watching makeup reviews & tutorials. My favorite gurus are Gossmakeupartist (the man is a makeup genius!) and Emilynoel. |

I LOVE GOssmakeupartist!!! I will def check out L'oreal's mascara! Thanks!:) |
Since I sell Avon, everything I use is Avon!
Really, though, I tried Beauti Control, because everyone I know loves it and it made my face BURN! L'Orael & Cover Girl make me itch. My cleanser, however, is Clearisil Daily Face Wash. I used it in the 9th grade--when they first introduced it, and I use it now. It's the best. |
This is not on daily basis but most of the time if I am meeting up with somebody or working.
Basics would be: PRIMER - YSL Matte Touch Radiant Base (around the t-zone) FOUNDATION - Chanel Perfection Lumiere (in 20 beige) CONCEALER - MAC Studio Finish concealer (two colors for under eyes and highlights) POWDER - Bobbi Brown pressed powder (in soft sand) BLUSH - Chanel or MAC or Dior (various colors from pink to peach to orange-ish) EYESHADOW - Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow (in beach bronze for most days) MASCARA - Lancome Hypnôse Drama (I love love love it!) LIPSTICK - Bobbi Brown creamy lipsticks or Lip Crayons, Chanel lipstick or lipgloss LIPLINER - MAC, Bobbi Brown, Revlon, Japanese drugstore lipliners |

i dont like the feeling of stuff on my face, not even lotion...it might be a sensory thing...i dont wear make up at all...ever...i have some concealer(?) not even sure that's what it's called, and i have eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick and powder...but i dont know what brands and i wear them so little that they are actually gathering dust in my bathroom...every once in awhile for a special occasion i will put some on but usually it bothers me enough that i will wash it off in the bathroom of wherever the event is at ....frankly i dont think i ever put on enough make up for it to make any difference in how i look anyhow lol
