Default Ideas for the T-shirts that are too big now...

There are so many t-shirt recons out there for turning a too big T into a vest, scarf, bracelet, recon to a smaller size, etc. I have some that I cut into yarn to make into a rug. I just thought it would it be nice to have a thread where we could share links or ideas for re-purposing clothes that are too big now.

Here are a couple I have found:

I was thinking of having one of those tshirt quilts made, but maybe I'll play around with a couple of them first! Neat ideas, chicks!

I've made purses out of old jeans. It was fun!

You can use your t shirts to make a bra, actually. I've seen several guides out there but unfortunately I don't have the sites bookmarked on my iPad.

I'd love to see the link for the tshirt bra if you have it on another pc.

I forgot about the tshirt pillow. You can make them like the fringe tied blankets.

I tried to google the tshirt bra, didn't find it. But, threadbanger has a HOT string bikini. I think I would have to lower my goal weight to wear it. lol

Ok, I'm on my computer. Here are some links

Make panties out of old t-shirts:
http://belleandburger.blogspot.com/2...-your-own.html

Some links on making bras:
http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/...olved/page/all
http://abigailscraftshowto.com/2010/...g-the-pattern/
http://www.max-california.com/2010/0...damn-bras.html

Just make sure on the bra links that if they advise you to add inches to your underbust measurement that you DON'T LISTEN to that. I know at least one of them does this.

Look how exciting I am - we donate them if they are in good condition and if they are stained or worn thin, we turn them into dust rags.

I love the idea of the panties. I might be willing to sacrifice one pair that actually fits to cut and use as a pattern to make SO many more that don't have to be hitched up, don't roll down when you bend over and don't ride up!

I love all these ideas, never thought I could actually recycle my old t-shirts. I especially like the bracelets and flowers, also that pillow looked pretty amazing. Usually I either give away old clothes, or wear them big. With t-shirts I don't mind, they can be 5 sizes too big, I just sleep in them. Still I may actually start to be more creative, who knows what I could accomplish.

There are simple tutorials out there for turning t-shirts into reusable grocery bags, too.

Here's one: http://www.marthastewart.com/266942/t-shirt-bag
