Yes, I experienced this with my old clothes. It was to the point where I was looking very sloppy so I donated everything and started buying things that fit. Even though I am still losing, I want to feel good in my clothes, even if that means just a few staples. My shoe size went down as well which I though was really funny! My watches are all rolling around on my wrist and I can't wear my wedding ring anymore for fear of losing it. It's all good, though! I'm happy that it's all falling off!!!!

Buy yourself a few things now and show off your success!!!!

The weird thing is some of my shoes don't fit! I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. I tried on some of my shoes from last summer and my foot slides through. Leave it to me to still have inches on my butt and thighs yet somehow lose weight in my feet! My tops have definitely gotten bigger like you guys mentioned. I can't seem to believe I am a small so I keep buying med/larges. I bought a new spring jacket in an "XS" and was shocked it fit. I had been trying on mediums and my mom started yelling at me!

I just layer cheap tank tops underneath my shirts that don't fit for now. Do you guys have a TJ Maxx or Century 21? They are great stores and not too expensive.

I thought it was crazy too. Back in 09 when I lost 30lbs I noticed I could wear a size 9 or 10 shoe instead of an 11 or 12!! My Mom kept telling me it wasnt possible, but evidently it is! It's the first place i lose weight now.

You'd think we could lose weight from some nice noticeable spot instead of feet...I mean really?!

I wear a cami under almost every sweater/shirt I own. I thought that all shirts were just really low cut for some reason. lol.

Buy some cami's at target - they aren't too much and will work with most necklines.

Ditto and the merona ultimate cami at target is my absolute favorite and often goes on sale for $6ea.

It was totally the case for me a few years ago. And I start wondering about it again now. My shoes start feeling a bit "roomy"

What's next? Our earrings won't fit, lol?? Yet, my thighs still touch... I tried on a few pair of spring wedges today. The 6 and 1/2 were too big and the 6 were a little too small. Are you kidding me?? I was so frustrated my husband told me to go buy more expensive shoes. Foolish man!

I am laughing as I read your original post- I hadn't noticed but my HUSBAND has. He was like "Your bra is hanging out a lot lately!" I was so happy he cared!

I've been frustrated with the clothes situation, probably the only drawback to losing weight. I only get a few weeks out of my bras, then it's time for the next size down!

I was going to wear my clothes really baggy for a while, but it looked and felt too bad. Luckily Big W and Target have reasonably priced clothes. I'm only buying 3 changes atm.

Every week I am throwing out another pair of droopy bottom pants. So many are just so big in the thighs too.
They look like the clown pants Charlie Chaplin wore. It's too embarrassing to go out in public in baggy slacks.

I don't mind my shoes being looser. I like them that way...comfortable now with a lot of toe room.
And my gloves fit better too.

heheh, yes I notice that, I think there is less weight on your shoulders/shoulder blades, also they are not pulled out sideways so their is so much more loose material so they hang lower.
I have had a few embarrassing moments, I love hooded summer button up tops and they now just fall straight off my shoulders and leave quite a bit hanging out... eckkkk....

and talking about jewellery! my watch has had to come in a couple notchs and I have bracelets that now slide off my hands! it amazes me so much where you lose weight and I never really considered it much before now.

I'm holding out as well. Luckily I kept all my old jeans from when I was thin many years ago so I had stuff to fit into. They're mainly 10's and 12's with a couple 8's so I didn't have to run out to get bottoms. I'm still wearing (L) shirts cause I'm down to almost nothing on tops.
Walmart has been a huge help cause they're cheap and look nice, they got the job done till I had to donate them for small sizes.

Two words: Clearance Rack. This is the ONLY way I can afford clothes right now. I haven't gone down a shirt size yet, but I had to replace a few pairs of pants, and I think I'll have to continue doing so since I hate wearing clothes that are too big on me. I feel they make me look fatter.

Lisa1971 04-13-2011 10:46 AM

Laneyy you are so right. I think baggy clothes make me look bigger, too. That's why I have been hitting Marshall's lately. So many inexpensive, cute things on clearance and even regular price. I feel and look better when my clothes fit.
