Default Where do you buy clothes?

I haven't shopped anywhere but Lane Bryant in about 10 years. Now I can fit in regular sizes I have no idea where to shop.

I am a stay at home mom, 37 years old and like jeans. Never very fancy but a bit trendy.

Can you give me an idea of what stores you would recommend?

I like Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and J Jill. I'm a 40-year-old that works in a business casual office.

I'm 36 and I like trendy clothing. My favorite shops are Papaya (may be a local shop) and Forever 21. I like the jeans in American Eagle and Charlotte Russe.

I'm 36 and I wish I'd asked this!! Awesome thread! I am so unsure of myself as to where to shop, afraid I'm going to get caught and laughed out of the teenie stores.

Speaking of which, Forever 21 isn't just for teens? Seriously asking...

I like Gap as they really haven't changed since we were teens when that was THE store to shop in. I think that's funny. They haven't kept up with the teen market like they used to, they kind of followed us.

I like Dress Barn and my old standbys, LandsEnd, Eddie Bauer, and LL Bean.

I like Old Navy. Under Armour has some cool stuff, you can find it in sporting places. Great comfy shirts.

Jeans, I'm partial to Cruel Girl, or Rocky Mountain, mostly found in western wear places. Lots of online places, for these. Both brands come in a variety of rises, leg styles and lengths.

Herbergers, if you don't have one local, look online. I snagged a pair of Reebock shoes there today for $32! Regular $100. They also have great casual and dressy. Plus the upscale makeup and perfumes.

American Eagle is popular in my neck of the woods, along with Brass Buckle.

Just get out there, take the plunge and investigate!

I'm a 35 year old SAHM. I hate spending money on myself, so I usually buy things as inexpensively as I can. Usually Target, Old Navy, Kohl's, H&M, Gap.

As far as Forever 21 goes, I don't think it is just for teenagers. The things I buy there tend to be their more generic stuff....sweaters, some tops, and some basic black leggings. I don't feel 38 and considering I have gotten fairly small--some of their things work out great and actually look great on!

Yes, all the stores you named are great and the prices are reasonable. I like the Candie's and Elle brands at Kohl's. I recently got a super cute jacket at Target for cheap. A few weeks ago Old Navy had a great sale--I was able to get several sweaters and some basic tops for around $5-$7 each!

I'm a 37 yr old SAHM and I dress very casual and like to be comfy. While I am still losing, and when I'm not raiding my teenage daughter's closet, I am finding some great deals in Ross, Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I really love the clothes from Anthropologie and plan to buy some pretty stuff once I get to my goal size. I love just about everything from Athleta and Patagonia has some super cute skirts that double as halter tops. I'm buying my workout wear from Under Armour but am also finding deals on Adidas, Nike, etc at Ross and Marshalls.

There are many types of clothing, that cater to all styles. With women finding good clothes, and sizes is always a hassle, because we can wear three different sizes!
One store that has a lot to offer, is cato. Their have clothing, shoes, jewelry, and more.
Their jeans are my favorite though. Every single time I walk into that store, I always find a good pair of comfortable, fashionable, and affordable jeans.

If there is a Cato near you, check it out!
