Need help finding a dress to friend's wedding!

  • I'm not 100% certain of my size right now. I'm guessing 16 pants still and shirts... I don't know size 16/18? Although XL fits me well and sometimes I can wear a L depending on the cut. Anyways, I'd like to get a nice dress for my friend's wedding that's coming up really soon but I'm not sure what to look for. Most of my weight loss has been in my arms/legs and between my chest and belly button. So I guess those are my "strengths" right now. I have a slowly shrinking ring around my lower stomach still that I'd like to hide and large breasts because I'm still nursing.... any suggestions??
  • What about a nice A-line wrap/wrap style dress? It'll help emphasize the smaller area between your chest and bellybutton, fan out sufficiently to hide the lower-belly area, and show your legs below the knee. It'll also cover any upper arm jiggle nicely. Added bonus - dresses like this can usually be re-worn, as they can be dressed up or down.

If you're happy with your arms, something like this might work, too. Nice cinching at the waist, with fabric draping to disguise any lower-tummy going on.

If you wanted to show a little more leg, something around this cut might be cute too...not sure if its too low-cut with the bigger chest.

  • casual but lovely http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/n...roidered-tunic you need to go on the site and see skirt and tunic separates.

    it needs a jacket.
    little black dress? http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...tegoryID=40067

Really what you need to do is go out and shop, The most important thing is to get something that fits, not too tight just so you can say you wear a 16,and not too loose-since you're loosing you want to be able to wear again.
I wanted to add something from wintersilk.com but didn't find anything for a wedding guest. Maybe a shell and tunic over a skirt you already have.

Not sure how much you want to spend, but this dress is gorgeous and under $200. The little jeweled belt type thing will bring attention to the waist (between stomach and belly button ), and the pattern will draw the eyes more to the fabric. The length of the dress will make you look longer and it's not a sheath, so I don't see any unwanted clinging on the horizon
