Has anyone ordered from either of these websites? The clothes look beautiful ... but I don't like the idea of online ordering. I like to try before I buy!
I have not shopped at either, but wow they have some great stuff - most would be perfect for my body type. I have bookmarked! Thanks for mentioning it!
I have ordered from both in the past... I prefered the fit and clothing itself from Kiyonna, but both were good to order from, for me anyway. When I had issues with sizing, there were no problems returning for refunds or exchanges.
I've ordered from both and think the items are well made albeit slightly overpriced synthetics. then again, both companies make their items in the u.s, so it explains the price point. igigi does run very large, and usually you have to order down a size or two. for example, I typically wear a size 24, but in their dresses, a size 18/20 fits me perfectly.
Dumplingtype - thanks for the details about Igigi. I really want to order a dress, but by the time I pay for the whole thing with shipping, taxes and probably duties (I'm Canadian), it'll cost nearly $200 - and that's just not worth it for something made of synthetic material. All the same, I'd really love a pretty dress ...
Also, about the sizing - did you find that your measurements align with the size charts? Or did you still have to order a size or two down?
I tried to follow the size charts (which can be tough because there is quite a range in inches per size), and found that Kiyonna fit me better, that Igigi (especially the bottoms) fit bigger, so ordered a size down. I am also Cdn... I didn't pay attention to how the duties were, but did not have any problems returning the items to both places when the items did not fit right (it just takes awhile to ship it back to the US, then have refund issued or exchange or reorder something else, etc).
I can't do mail orders also for the same reason, sizing is always a problem. Its either that or the color or fabric won't work on my body. I prefer to try stuff on instead.
I've eyed the clothes from those stores before, but I don't usually spend that much on clothes. I'm sure theirs are higher quality than my normal Fashion Bug purchases...but still! I also don't wear anything low cut ever, so a lot of styles are out for me. If it was different, I'd have no hesitation about buying. I love shopping online because I don't have to spend 10 hours finding something I like. Sending things back is fairly simple. I prefer places where return shipping is free, but I'll gamble on a place that doesn't have it if I like the merchandise enough. I don't know how to measure my body correctly, so I just take measurements from charts where the clothing that fits me well (Fashion Bug, CJ Banks, JCPenney) and use the measurements as a guide when buying somewhere new. Works pretty well.
I like the look of things at Trentacosta, but I don't wear dresses. Maybe I should start.
