Default Never mind "she shouldn't be wearing that", I shouldn't be!

I have begun purging my closet of clothes that are now too big and I've found I feel a fair number of these are in a condition that I feel are too bad to give to Goodwill. So what was I doing wearing them?? Time to take a little more care of my appearance, regardless of size.

Ditto! Some of my clothes aren't in decent condition to give away.

you can turn old t-shirts into rags, or, what i plan to do, make a quilt with some of my old favorites. i have a bunch of t-shirts that are ratty or don't fit, but they have memories attached to them. it'll be fun to see them as a quilt!

also, since i've lost weight, i definitely pay more attention to my appearance. my clothes fit, my hair is an actual style (!), and i generally like how i look. i think i need to go bra shopping again because my boobs have decided that they are one whole cup size bigger when i have my period. *grumble*

That was actually one of my new years resolutions - take more pride in my appearance. I'm happy to say that it's one I've kept up and I definitely feel better about myself for it. I'm sure you will too

I've got a lot of that stuff, too... I've finally started "demoting" items to around-the-house wear but now I have something like 30 t-shirts or tank tops for "around the house" which is a little extreme, lol.

I'm moving this Saturday, and I've decided that nothing is going into my new closet or back into my dresser drawers until I've tried it on and approved it!

Most of my clothes are misshapen because of pulling on them a bit to stretch it out more to hide my pudgy parts.

i'm giving away about a half dozen bras to our local charity thrift store... i used to be a 34DD and now i'm a 34C/36B (i have to go get measured again!). i feel weird selling used bras, so i might as well just give them away.

agggh i move tomorrow! i hate packing. at least all my clothes fit in two boxes!

I feel you there, sister. When I was overweight, I wore the same five outfits in rotation if I wanted to be stylish. Otherwise, I wore huge, baggy t-shirts, sweat pants, and jeans with multiple unintentional holes... oh, and, uh, men's clothing. I was really big on men's clothing when I had that extra padding.

Now, I have a huge bag of stylish men's clothing that I really should give to Goodwill... as for my other notoriously frumpy clothes, I either threw 'em away or used them as cleaning rags. If I had no clean towels, sometimes I'd use them as a replacement.

As for being embarrassed, uh, have you SEEN some of the clothes at Goodwill lately? You have NOTHING to be ashamed of! Every time I shop at Goodwill, I will cringe multiple times at some of the hideous things on the racks, silently muttering "tsk tsk" and wondering what posessed someone to actually spend the money to buy those things new?
