Default Best multivitamin?

I've been reading different things everywhere, and I'm desperate to find a good multivitamin for me but don't know what to go with!

For the past few years I've been trying to take the Weight Control (Centrum I think) multivitamin.... but it messes with my stomach so badly that I have to cut it in half and eat it with a full stomach to not go dry heave (or puke) for an hour afterwards. So slowly I just end up not taking it because I can't stand it.

I was recently diagnosed with extremely low Vitamin D levels, and am on 50,000IU vitamin D twice a week for 3 months (still have a month and a half to go), and that doesn't bother me at all. And I honestly feel INCREDIBLY better. So many of my health issues have slacked up because of it.

But, I know that I really do need to be on a good daily source of other vitamins, especially since I'm dieting. I've read on other threads that people recommend non-pill form vitamins, or whole food/non-processed vitamins, etc..... but I'm still kinda unsure about what they mean by some of those.

So, does anyone (especially people with sensitive stomaches) have any opinions or ideas they can give me, or experiences?

Centrum tears my stomach up. I now take Ultimate Woman from Vitamin Shoppe. I was taking a no-iron one, because my doctor said that *most* people don't need the additional iron, but after some blood work he told me to go back on one with iron. It's a relatively large pill, but it goes down a lot easier than most I've tried, and doesn't make my tummy hurt.

Vitamin Shoppe also carries a few brands of whole food vitamins, if you're interested. They have message boards where you can ask questions of nutritionists and doctors, so you may want to ask there about whole food vitamins vs regular ones.

And no, I don't work for Vitamin Shoppe!

Vitamin shop has message boards? Like on their website?

And yeah... the regular store bought vitamins are just disasters for my tummy...

I'm just trying to figure out what "whole food" vitamins mean, as well. hehe I'll see what I can find via Vitamin Shoppe online. Thanks!
