Default New Maidenform backless bra anyone?

OK, so I got my "Breakthrough backless" bra yesterday that I'd preordered. Here's a link if you've not seen it:

http://www.maidenform.com/catalog/pr...ntCategoryId=1

See, I love the idea of backless dresses, because my back is the one part of my body that I've never hated, and feel totally comfortable showing to the world. But with a full bust, going bare is not an option, and I hate those backless bustier-corset contraptions!

Anyway, things I like about this bra - it has well-structured cups and like many women my breasts are sized a bit differently so I like a well-structured cup - it definatley keeps the girls even, and at attention, it REALLY is backless.

But there are some things I'm unsure about - the shape it creates is a bit pointier than I like, and in profile my rack looks VERY big. The straps slip a bit, and I think I won't have relaxed full range of motion when I'm wearing it, for fear that they will slip. I ordered a 34DD, and was worried that it might be too big in the cup, as the girls are starting to shrink a little. Well, no worries, there. The cups are a little under-generous, so I worry about um fuller breast um, migrating out of the cup a bit.

But did I mention that it is REALLY backless? And I put it on with my one backless top, and I felt like Betty Grable! Total pin-up hottie feeling.

OK, shutting up now - anyone else tried it? What did you think?

I've seen this one in photos, but for me it seems like it's going to slip out of me anytime. Have you tried it already? Is it comfortable?

Its OK, but not all I'd hoped for

I was going to a show with a friend and planned to wear my sassy new backless tunic and jeans. I wore the backless bra that day with a regular shirt so I wouldn't have marks on my back from my regular bra, and the darned thing would not stay in place when I was sitting down. If I was standing it was fine, but the cups kept sliding up and off my breasts whenever I was seated for a while. By the end of the day my back was so sore from trying to keep my shoulders in some position so it would stay on.

It did suggest using toupee tape to keep the cups in place, but ew...

Booo -- it seemed like a good idea though. If you were to use some kind of body tape to hold the straps and cups in place, do you think that would have helped matters? I, too, CANNOT go braless, ever, and this is an interesting idea if only it would work.

I tried a bra strap converter from Barebasics. It attaches to the hook and eye closure of your bra and pulls the strap down toward your waist. You can wear a really low-back top or dress without the bra showing.
It works quite well if you use it with the right type of bra.
