Default Pimples/Blemishes/Zits

I don't know if this is the correct place to post, but I don't know where else to write this!!

Has anyone else had issues with face breakouts due to the body detoxing? The past two weeks I've focused intently on eating lots of fresh/natural/organic foods and cutting out most of my soda intake and drinking the correct amount of water. About a week in, I noticed my skin getting really oily and now I'm breaking out!!!! UGH!! I feel like I could wash my face at least 4 times a day. Throughout my entire life, I've never been prone to acne(besides my highschool days but even then..really mild zit here and there) I haven't had so many pimples in a long long long time.

Anyone else have this problem or pointers on how to ease the dillema? Also, when does this go away??

Hello, I'm actually dealing with the same issue right now. Ever since I've been exercising more, and eating healthier, I've been getting zits. Nasty!.
I bought a bottle of spectro-jel face cleanser, didn't work at all.
Now I'm using neutrogena oil-free acne wash... this product seems to be working. It's drying out my face, which is helping with the pimples. I recommend it. I used it in highschool, and it did wonders for my face. So I figured I'd give it a try once again.... seems to be doing the job. It's also pretty cheap, under $10 at any drug store or grocery store.

Yeah, neutrogena is is very skin drying...but maybe I need that for a bit while my body adjusts. I'm hopin they won't last long (even if it is a good sign of improved health)

Same - it seems I only breakout around my chin/jawline? really annoying! I'm not sure why.

About eight years ago, following the birth of my first baby, I lost forty pounds (I'm currently losing the forty I gained with baby number three...). After the first twenty, my skin got really bad. Especially on my jaw line and my cheeks. Nothing seemed to work well -- except I did find that it helped to wash my face with Cetaphil (sp?) cleanser immediately after working out -- not letting the sweat sit on my face for any length of time. My skin problem lasted for the duration of my weight loss, but was the most severe for the first few months. Once I attained my goal and was maintaining for a few weeks, it completely went away. Oh, and it was MUCH better in the winter than in the summer while I was losing. Cool weather maybe? I never had acne before in my life so it was a complete shocker when, as I was trying to do something good for my body, my skin tweaked out.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me!

Like the others, I wasn't even very zitty as a teenager, just a few spots, never acne. Now I'm breaking out in my 50s! It seems such a punishment for getting healthy!
I tried dabbing 4711 Cologne water on mine, and they dried up beautifully.

I have experienced this in the past its just part of the detox process- stick with it and you skin shoudl clear up - its just your body getting rid fo all the waste from unhealthy food!
