Exclamation Need Help With Pants! I Hate Shopping

Ok, besides the obvious hang ups we tend to have with body image, ect. I have found that I have a bigger issue at hand. I have a BIG BUTT! My butt and thighs are easily a size 14, HOWEVER, my waist is a 10! So I either have pants that are SUPER TIGHT across my rear or they fit great there and are FALLING OFF around my waist. I used to be a great HOUR GLASS! But as I age gravity is causing all my weight to FALL..lol I never had a BIG waist, more of a flatter tummy (thank god!) but always THICK through the rear/thigh area. What, besides liposuction..lol, can I do!??!?!?!?
I need work pants (WILL NOT WEAR COTTON STRETCH PANTS!!) and jeans!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

And don't forget tailoring.

I'm a What Not to Wear nut ... and they often talk about this. Find a garment that nicely fits the biggest part of you, and get it tailored to fit the rest.

I have best luck with medium rise with no waistband.

Try Lane Bryant.. I used to HATE their pants since I'm short and not as curvy as some, but not without shape either.. They have a new line of pants made for different body types where they measure you and tell you which size to try. I was a '2 Red' and they fit like a freakin' glove, which was really weird for me as nothing seems to fit me well. Might want to give it a try?

My sister has this problem as well. She has to either wear a belt or have things tailored like Susan mentioned. She does occasionally find pants that fit her correctly though, so keep trying, you just never know.

In fact, I have to have things tailored as well, but for different reasons (pant length and containing "the girls.")

I am in the huge butt category as well...I usually just have to find stretch jeans in a happy medium. It's hard!
