Default Bras for busty ladies - where do you buy them?

Help!
Over the course of my WL journey I've gone from a 38D to a 34E. I now have not a single bra that fits. I've been wearing some 36DDs and making do, but I just can't stand the discomfort any more. I've been holding off on buying new anything until I reach goal but I definitely need something NOW in the bra department.
Is there anywhere you ladies shop that makes bras in "odd" sizes that are affordable AND comfortable? I can't really spend $50 a bra, though I would prefer to be able to buy a couple that fit well rather than several cheap ones that will fall apart because I do have a job that keeps me on my feet most of the day, and I do a lot of bending and lifting. I'm moving around a lot of the day.
Any advice ladies?

Do you have any outlet malls in your area? We have several in the northern VA area and many have Bra outlets. We have one close by that is a L'eggs/Hanes/Bali/Platex store. You probably need to try on several brands and styles to find something that fits you properly. You can also go into Target or Wally World and try on bras.
I personally like Victoria's Secret Emma Bra, particularly the front close, full coverage, but not the full-figured full coverage, there is a difference. They do not carry E. They do carry DD. They provide a lot of support and keep the girls each in their own space. I don't like bras that smoosh my boobs together. VS bras can be more expensive, but they run sales. I never pay full price. I have to order mine online as the stores do not carry my size. I get the Emma bras for about $22 each on sale.
The Emma bra is so supportive that I prefer it for sports over a sports bra.

Also, a nice bonus, the Emma bra is pretty!

I'm a 36 DD, and used to be a 38 DDD. I personally buy all my bras from Fredricks of Hollywood. They carry up to a DDD (they call it an "F") in band sizes 42 to 30, I believe. They're nice-looking bras, too. One of my pet peeves being busty is that all larger cup sizes looked like my grandma's underwear, didn't support me or only came in a band size 40+. Fredricks gets all my business now

I was thinking about fredricks but years ago I bought a bra there and, well, it was definitely a special occasion bra and not terribly comfortable
There aren't any fredrick's stores around here anymore, but i'll definitely give them a shot and order one or two online to check out the fit. I am definitely not looking for my grandma's bras why is it so hard to find something that's nice looking, supportive, not straight out of 1950, not completely insane (a lot of stuff i've looked at has been, like, 100% lace or mesh or some other nonsense and i'm sorry but i've got too much real estate in my chest area to be messing about with tons of lace), and not $100?

I get my bras at Cacique....which is a Lane Bryant store (or also sold IN Lane Bryant as well). I think their band sizes are 36 to about a 48 and their cups are B-H. The bras are ADORABLE too. They make my boobs look 20 and not like I'm older...hahaha.

Good luck!

Karmuz, if you are a 34E, forget the Cacique bras, or at least forget about Lane Bryant. I finally got sized in September, and found out that instead of being a 40-42D like I thought I was, I was a 34-36DD-DDD(I seem to be stuck somewhere inbetween). I went to Lane Bryant to try and get some bras becuase I know they carry larger cups sizes, but as I was looking through their selection, a sales lady came over and I asked her if they carried 34-36, and she said they carry no 34 and very little 36.

I would recommend hitting up Macys if you can. I bought a couple of Wacoal bras (really pretty, a bit expensive like 45-60 bucks each) but I also bought some cheaper bras around 20-25. You do have to spend some time looking, but you can find some good stuff at Macys.

First I would like to say Hi to all the NOVA ladies....HELLO!!!!!
I too have to shop around a lot...Macy's, Nordstroms (a little pricey) .sometimes kohls but you have to dig.....I too want the pretty bra..not grandma's w/the 3in wide straps ....but I have to usually try on 10 to find one that works...

I'm a 42C (for now!), but I've been able to find things at JCPenney's that don't look like a granny's unmentionables.

Bare Necessities has almost every size imaginable and they often run sales. I've had very good luck with them for years (in my pre-weight loss size and now!). They are an Amazon store and also have their own site at www.barenecessities.com

I love my Cacique bras that I get at Lane Bryant. I tried to fit others recently and went back and got the ones I love.
