Not trying to turn this into a Food forum, but your posts are really helping me. I don't use Splenda; found it gave both me and my husband horrible stomach cramps. I may try stevia. I don't add sugar to my coffee or tea, I bake with applesauce but I do enjoy the occasional piece of chocolate. And my true addiction is a Starbucks grande iced nonfat no-whip Mocha. I rationalize it as a low points way to get calcium and it covers my chocolate fix. They are obviously expensive so I only do it once a week. My daughter's after school program sells Starbucks prepaid cards as a fundraiser (i.e., buy a $25 card and the program gets 10% of that) so I can even rationalize it as a way to support the extended day program (and it's a very good program, so why wouldn't I support it).

Elana -- the cool thing about this forum is that it's OUR forum and we can talk about any darn thing that we please! So if you want to talk about food, go right ahead -- or anything else that's on your mind. It's all about helping each other (and helping ourselves) in any and every way.

Anyone here -- or anyone lurking -- should feel free to start new threads, add thoughts, ask questions, or whatever. Believe me, there's no right or wrong topics here! If it's something that you're wondering about, chances are someone else is too.

AHA! That was it. I thought it started with an E, but Stevia was the name of the stuff my naturopathic doctor and Schwarzbein both recommend.
