Good Luck TucsonChris!

  • A while back, our Chris ("tucsonchris") posted about planning to have a tummy tuck after her fantastic weight loss. Well, tomorrow's her big day and I want to wish her the very best from all of us!

Chris, it sounds like you've got the best DH in the world to take care of you, so rest and recover and enjoy being pampered. Be sure to come back when you're feeling better and tell us about your experiences and how you like your new flat tummy!

  • Thanks for the reminder Meg!

Best of luck to you Chris !!
  • Thinking of you, Chris! Take full advantage of the lovely drugs

  • How sweet you all are--saw my name and was so surprised.

Thank you for the nice words. I am not nervous but I know I will be in the morning. Have all my drugs ready for when I come home on Tuesday. Lots of cottage cheese and fruit in the fridge (so I have plenty to eat). My husband is a good cook, cleans the house and will be taking good care of me.

Will probably not be on the computer for the rest of the week. Hopefully by Friday.

Will come on to say hello when I can sit up for a while.

Thank you all for all your help full insight into tummy tucks and weight maintance.
  • Sorry - I'm a bit late on the uptake these days!

All I can say is...enjoy your pain meds and don't force yourself to eat! If you're like I was, you won't be wanting to eat much for several weeks. Hopefully you have a lot of good books - but nothing that will make you want to laugh, because that HURTS!

(oh I see Mel beat me to the drug remarks.... )

  • I am home
Well it is all over and they took off 17 pounds. When she was marking me up, I asked her if she could put some of the tummy fat into my butt (I have no butt), so now I have a cute pookie butt.

Am doing well, walking like a zombie. I had a lower body lift, so I was cut in half then sewen back together. Hubby if taking care of me, helping me out of bed, helping me in the bathroom, cooking and doing the wash. Have pads on all the furniture I sit on, so I dont leak onto the fabric. My cousin from PA send me flowers and has called twice (she is so sweet).

I am really stiff and uncomfortable. Didnt realiaze how many things you use tummy muscles for. Drinking lots of water and eating cottage cheese, cheese, chicken and fruit. Dont have much appetite but have to keep the blood sugar up (I am a Type 2 diabetic).

Well, have to go lay down. I move around a lot, good for the blood, dont want any blood clots.

    Thank you all for careing,
    Love you all
    Chris
  • Chris! I can't believe you're posting already!! Oh my goodness -- 17 pounds! And a cute new butt!!

You're doing SO well -- the hard part's over now. All you need to do is rest and take it easy and let your body heal. And let that dream of a DH spoil you rotten.

-- we're all thinking of you. Post again when you feel up to it and let us know how you're doing.
  • Congratulations Chris! Your first post was much more coherent than mine Glad to hear all went well and you are moving again. Take it slow, but keep moving. You're right, I never realized how many things I needed abs for until I didn't have any! Good thing my arms were really, really strong

It takes a LONG time to get back to where you were. I'm four months out and still have very limitted ab strength, and still have tissue swelling. I think Meg recovered in about 3 weeks, but she's a freak.
