  • My physical went well. Always does. I am very proactive about my health and my doctor knows that. I now have to schedule my mammogram as the final step.

I have noticed that the physicals have become much shorter in duration and that he does way less stuff. The health care in Canada has declined as far as what your GP will do for you. But they are the gatekeeper to all sorts of other specialists and for referrals so we do need them.

Alice I'm glad to hear you've stopped worrying about your neighbour while still offering support to him. That's all you can do and you're offering lots of help.

  • Good morning!

I'm glad to hear about your good physical, Dagmar. Mine are always good, too. With my insurance I don't need a referral, which I like. But of course, I pay for the insurance.

Alice, I'm glad you are able to help your neighbor to the extent you can. I'm also glad you've stepped back a bit. When someone has family but they are nowhere to be seen, there is probably a reason.

I'm helping a friend who is basically a hoarder. The condition of her house is really bad. It's been like this for many, many years, however, and I stay out of that. I'm helping her with certain financial stuff, and that's it, That's a lot, really--I've helped her get her Medicare and Social Security started, and she's applied for other assistance. I guess when offering help, one has to draw a line.
  • Hi all! I've had a change of routine, so posting hasn't been as easy lately. I put on some weight AFTER the holidays, as I could barely eat during the holidays due to stress. I'm back to my pre-stress weight, I think. Oh well, it's not too bad.

I thought LoseIt was a pretty easy app to use when I've used the basic free version.

My walking partner is getting a new job and won't be available to walk anymore. Boo. I was really enjoying that, but I won't be going alone. My neighborhood is too iffy for that this early in the morning.

  • We should start a new thread for spring/summer! We don't have to wait until 500 posts... What should we call it?
  • Thought I would pop in over here as it seems an active thread. Been around for awhile now and have been in maintenance since Nov 2018
Learning how to adjust / tweak stay there.

OK with me for a new thread Jayell. We need a name that will inspire us and lift us out of the end-of-winter bleaghs. I got nuthin' - I'm beaten up this year.

    Anyone?
