Default Maintainers Weekly Chat: November 7 - November 13

Yep, I'm glad that Halloween is over. I managed to keep the sampling under control, but not zero.

The only thought on my mind is that next week the U.S. elections will be over. I've never wanted over so much in my life. I especially feel sympathy for our Canadian friends who have to watch all this and don't get to vote in it. I love the quote I once read, "The office of President of the United States is much too important to be decided by American voters alone."

I think most of the world is holding its breath until the outcome is decided on Tuesday. We Canadians are particularly tied to you Americans and I think most of us want reason and democracy to win. I definitely do!

I worry that when it's over, it still won't be over.

I have never been so determined to vote. Many of my friends are completely put off, and want to do nothing, in protest, but I do not see that as an option. Not at all. I will be at my polling place right after my trip to the gym tomorrow morning.

Dagmar, this IS democracy. I don't understand what you're saying.

I am so ready for it to be over as well. And yes, our Canadian neighbors are quite invested in it as well.

I don't think it will be remotely over when it's over, no matter which way it goes. We've never seen an election quite like this in our lifetimes, and I hope we never do again.

I've stayed away from political posts on facebook and I'm so ready for them to be gone.

Nice weekend for me, but I need to crack down on my weight if I want to fit into anything for the holidays!

Good morning all! Just popping in to see how everyone is doing. I'm no maintainer! But it's nice to see some familiar names. Hope you all have been well.

But I was just thinking of you this morning! Nice thoughts, obviously. And missing you. How are you doing?

Hey midwife! So glad to see you again! I'm a maintainer, but with a way high weight. And that's just how JayEll rolls!

Who was it around here with the signature quote "and that's how Beowolf rolls" by her daughter?

That was Midwife and she's just popped in to say hello.

Oh ha! Now I'm on my computer and I can see her signature! I'm both embarrassed that it was there all along and proud of the fact that I remembered that at all! Midwife, maybe I saw your screen name and subconsciously put it together with JayEll's post.

And Midwife, too.
