Very cool! You certainly wouldn't see that at the gym now would you?

Wednesday, Oct. 10th:

45 minute spin class with weight intervals, a small class on a dark rainy morning at 6 AM, but very supportive of a new person taking her very first-ever spin class. I realized I've gotten fairly good at this.

krampus 10-10-2012 07:54 PM

Wednesday, 10/10:
-10 minutes on crappy elliptical
-10 minutes HIIT on treadmill

Thursday, 10/11:
-Rather uninspired upper body lifting routine
-10 grueling minutes on elliptical. What's going on?

saef 10-12-2012 01:46 PM

Friday, Oct. 12th:

60 minutes yoga class, which I never get to, and now I am wondering why not. Could I slip away from my job, and call this my lunch hour?
20 minutes elliptical, random intervals, resistance at nine, entirely going backward
60 minutes back & biceps routine
40 minutes Stairmaster step mill, resistance at eight, aerobic intervals

A long, long time at the gym, this being one of my rare days off, and the weather being crisp and not humid at all.

Does your gym offer classes? I got VERY burned out from using the machines and started taking classes at my gym. I find it much less boring and I can do different types of classes depending upon my schedule and mood.

WardHog 10-12-2012 08:55 PM

Oct. 11: two 40 min dog walks (2.25mi each), 1 hour tennis drills, 1 hour doubles match

Saturday, Oct. 13th:

60 minutes on the arc trainer, hill intervals, resistance upped to 10, and unfortunately I dropped my towel just halfway through it and I WON'T get off the machine or pause to retrieve it, for some weird reason of my own, and so I was pretty sweaty afterward.

Then off to shower, dress, pack, jump in the car & drive & drive & drive.

WardHog 10-13-2012 08:39 PM

saef, I won't either! Once I start I am not stopping until I am finished!

saef 10-14-2012 04:54 PM

20 minutes Stairmaster stepmill, resistance at eight, aerobic intervals, on a new machine that appears to be the latest model & required me figuring out some extra steps to program it
60 minutes shoulders biceps and triceps routine
40 minutes on Stairmaster, on an older model, resistance dropped to seven, but still aerobic intervals

Monday, Oct. 15th:

45 minute spin class at the Upstate gym with the instructor who pushes us hard at pretty heavy resistance. I learned that one of my former classmates is training to be a spin instructor! It's giving her something to focus on while her divorce winds down.

WardHog 10-15-2012 08:38 PM

Oct. 14: two 40 min dog walks (2.25mi each), 50 min swim (~1 mi)

saef 10-16-2012 08:48 AM

Tuesday, Oct. 16th:

15 minutes Stairmaster stepmill, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight
60 minutes shoulders, chest and triceps routine, missing the 12.5 and 17.5 pound dumbbells at my home gym, as I've become used to them and find the lesser weights a bit too light but the heavier ones a bit too heavy. Probably I do too many reps, at 17 reps, though often with a break after anything from eight to 12.

60 minute spin class with weight intervals, back at my home gym. Yes, that's two gyms in one day.

krampus 10-16-2012 11:04 AM

Tuesday, 10/16:
-20 minutes upper body weights. Took a break from back stuff because I noticed it was hurting the other day. Shoulder press w/20# DB getting easier!
-6 minutes on stair stepper

masterptr 10-16-2012 03:39 PM

10/16/12

7.5 miles outside
5.5 miles inside

so far so good this week!

WardHog 10-16-2012 08:26 PM

Oct. 16: two 40 min dog walks (2.25mi each), spin class

I got my replacement fitbit finally so I am back to collecting data. It really does help me push myself!

Wednesday, Oct. 17th:

45 minute spin class, and I am unstoppable, feeling good during & afterward, though it is really hard work. I don't understand these intervals in my training when it actually becomes exhilarating, but I am trying to enjoy it while it lasts, since it will be like a sentence of hard labor again soon.

WardHog 10-17-2012 08:41 PM

Oct. 17: two 40 min dog walks (2.25mi each), spin class

JohnKY 10-17-2012 08:48 PM

Been away and not logged in here for a bit. Had a craft show out of town, but fortunately in a good location for hiking. Still on-plan.

10/17

2.6 mi hike this morning. 3.6 tonight. 3 sets pushups/stretching.

saef 10-18-2012 11:36 AM

Thursday, Oct. 18th:

60 minutes elliptical, random intervals, resistance at nine, alternating backward & forward
60 minutes Pilates mat class, very sparsely attended, three newbies and me. I don't know why. Everyone may still be adjusting to the early dark and scurrying home after work? Or general mourning over the Yankees, our local team?

masterptr 10-18-2012 12:24 PM

Good morning Everyone
