Saturday, June 9:
-20 min intervals on arc trainer
-10 min running on treadmill

Sunday, June 10:
-2.98 mile mountain/trail run with my bf. Monumental in that it was my first time running with a buddy, first trail run, and first deliberate attempt to attack hilly territory. The views of the Hudson, of Albany over yonder and literally leaping over garter snakes slithering about were excellent, and it was not stressful running with a companion like I worried it'd be. :D

Monday, June 11th

At the Hyatt Regency, which has a gorgeous fitness center, one of the nicest I've seen outside of Las Vegas.

60 minutes on Life Fitness elliptical, random intervals, half backward. Resistance at eight, which wasn't heavy enough.

Tuesday, June 12th:

Still at the Hyatt, discovering that the fitness center is crowded by 6 AM. I went there at about 5:30 AM & got on a stationary bike for the first time in oh-I-don't-know-how-long.

60 minutes stationary bike, hills, average resistance at 10, and feel like, though I sweat hard, I didn't get my heart rate up a lot. Spin class is far more serious than this thing.

I like the refrigerated wet towel afterward. A lot.

Monday, June 11:

-20 minute sprint intervals program on elliptical. Upper body lifting routine. Went up 5 lbs on bicep barbell curl and holding steady at 30 lb for bent-over dumbbell row. Couple sets of dumbbell squats, too.

Wednesday, June 13:

60 minutes Life Fitness elliptical, hill intervals, resistance up to 10 and probably could have gone higher.

Goodbye, nice hotel fitness center.

Thursday, June 14:

45 minute spin class, with me out of breath and really working, a reminder of how classes challenge me more than most machines, so even if the time is shorter, it's better spent pushing myself
15 minute Pilates routine

Wednesday, June 13:
-4 1/2 mile jog on bike path. Felt difficult. Averaged 10 minute miles but kept walking to a minimum.

I did get to the gym after work on Friday. I forgot how much it empties out: The party is clearly going on elsewhere.

Friday, June 15:

15 minutes Cybex arc trainer, hands-free, hill intervals, resistance upped to 10 for the first time
60 minutes back and biceps routine, with me finding that 75 lbs is definitely too low for lat pulldowns, though 90 lbs is too much. (This place didn't have those additional 5-lb weights you can stack on top.)
45 minutes Stairmaster step mill, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight. Dripping sweat and a little shaky when I stepped off.

Saturday, June 16:

Ran the usual four-mile course along the country roads near my house, swatting deerflies from the crown of my head during the section that passes by a wetlands area. This felt pretty good, though not as spectacular as last Saturday morning. Probably I should be tracking my time. I have a sense I've gotten faster but can't confirm it.

Sunday, June 17:

15 minutes arc trainer, 1:1 intervals, resistance at eight
60 minutes biceps, triceps and shoulder routine
20 minutes Stairmaster stepmill, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight
25 minutes arc trainer, gluteal 2, resistance at eight

Intervals on three different machines, just for a change -- admittedly thinking of Krampus and her machine change-ups.
