This particular instructor always has a couple of people come up on stage for each song. She gets volunteers, instructors in training, and the regulars. I've only gone 5-6 times over the past few months and don't feel at all like I know what I'm doing. She called me up on stage for the last song which is the easiest as it's the cool down/stretch. I was proud of myself for not panicking! I did it! I was probably a beat behind the instructor but I don't think I made a fool of myself.:carrot::carrot: Totals: 2 days 155 minutes |
Hello to everyone  I'm new to this discussion but not 3fatchicks :D
I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal weight :carrot: and wanted to join a maintainers discussion since this will be my next lifetime goal. I'm currently doing the GI Diet and exercising one time a day for 40/45 mins at least 6 days a week. This has worked for me and it is something that I know I can do as a lifestyle change. This forum has been a great help to me during my weight loss journey. The encouragement and support is awesome on here.. I know the last 5 pounds will take time to come off and my entire weight loss journey wasn't a quick one which I think is good. nice, slow and steady.. have a good one guys and looking forward to being active on this site.. |

Wednesday, June 6th:
45 minute spin class. We did a lot of tabatas. The worst was standing sprints. Need I say more? Consecutively, one after the other. 15 minutes Pilates routine |
I wogged yesterday, and I took a long, brisk walk today. It is quite difficult to squeeze this into my schedule, but I seem to be able to do it! And I love it!

Thursday, June 7th:
45 minute spin class with the instructor who likes us to stand a lot and is fond of sprints "with everything you've got." 15 minutes Pilates routine afterward So nice to walk out of the gym into stunning sunlight and the promise of a warm day, and to see a lot of convertibles sitting in the parking lot. |

Globetrotter, hello. Why don't you head over to the Maintainer's Chat Thread? Or, since you're working on a few last pounds, maybe the Slim for Summer Thread? We'd all love to catch up with you, but some may miss your post over here in the activity-logging thread.

Friday, June 8th:
15 minutes Stairmaster stepper, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight 60 minutes back and bicep routine, with the lat pulldowns 45 minutes Stairmaster stepper, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight for the first half, dropped to seven for the second half, and grabbed the rails during the hardest & longest intervals. That's how to get through it. I am wiped out right now. A plain Greek yogurt with protein powder mixed in & a cup of coffee are slowly reviving me. |
Thursday, June 7:
-15 minutes intervals on elliptical -Upper body lifting routine + squats with 2x30lb dumbbells. There is a "wizard ninja" at my gym who does these crazy pullups where he hoists himself up so high that he has time to clap his hands before dropping back down to the bar. WHAT?! |

Saturday, June 9th Went out at about 5:45 for my four-mile run. What happened this morning? It was amazing. It didn't feel like pounding. It felt rhythmic. It felt airy at moments. And at one point, when I started to feel my side cramping up into a stitch, I remembered what I'd read online and tried to breathe more deeply. I discovered that yes, I'd been breathing shallowly and my diaphragm was tensed up. I tried relaxing my midsection. This actually worked. I could have gone further, at least another mile. I felt like I could have done a half-marathon. No idea what my time was. Anyway, now that's out of the way and I can finish packing for my trip downstate. |

Heck I coulda used some of that this morning. Windsurfing takes quite a bit of upper body strength (just to get the sail up and get going) and I don't have that much. I am the world's laziest weightlifter. Dagmar :swim: (me windsurfing today ) |

June 9: 90 minute walk with dh who finally returned after three long weeks. Also 90 minutes bikram yoga Totals: 5 days 435 minutes |
Sunday, June 10th:
Back in my old gym, where I now feel like a stranger. Though an older guy with a Rambo-style sweatband remembered me and asked where I'd been & we chatted for a few minutes. 15 minutes Stairmaster stepmill, aerobic intervals, resistance at eight 60 minutes shoulders, biceps and triceps routine, using 15-lb and 12.5-lb dumbbells. I forgot this gym has 12.5 and 17.5 dumbbells, which I really like 45 minutes back on the Stairmaster, dropped the resistance to seven, pouring sweat, though my legs felt great -- a continuation of yesterday's run. My old gym feels tiny but luxurious, like a little boutique. Where do I belong? That's my general theme these days. |
