Thinking of you today Dagmar. Hope you have the strength to face whatever decisions are necessary.

BillBlueEyes 03-31-2011 10:34 AM

Sending supporting thoughts, Dagmar, this marriage business is hard stuff.

bargoo 03-31-2011 11:01 AM

Dagmar, hoping you will find what is best for you.

Allison, that is a very nice obituary.

Dagmar,

Dagmar, I'm never more prone to wishing to plunge mindlessly into a binge than when I'm facing a hard decision.

And never once has the binge helped me choose intelligently.

Good luck with reviewing and making your choices.

Not sure if I'll be back on before I leave in the a.m. for Vegas. I don't plan on bringing my computer so I'll miss you all.

I am worried about my weight and what might happen in Vegas (it will stay in Vegas, right?!) because I was trying to get down to 123 before my trip and the last few days my weight has gone up and up and up and I was 129 this morning which I almost never am! UGGGGHHHHH..... I will try to have fun, get exercise in, make mostly good choices, and allow myself some indulgences. I will deal with the repercussions when I return whatever they may be.

So I'm completely late to the party, being the last day of the month and all, but was wondering if I might join you next month. I finally feel worthy of calling myself a maintainer and would love to join the group if that's ok.

Dagmar, I just wanted to send my thoughts and hugs your way. I so know the feeling of being "done" in with a location. We've been "back home" for almost 7 years now. We've moved back after I finished college and I am so done here. I'm ready to move onto something, somewhere new. I actually thing this is where some of my binging was (3 weeks clean tomorrow) steming from and where my "baby fever" was coming from. I don't think it's so much that I want another baby right now, I just want something different, something exciting...I hope that your DH can share that with you sometime soon.

[Holding up a sagging banner, as a small welcoming committee of one. Cause everyone else is partying on a Friday.]

Hello, haven't we met before?

Just jump in & post, ncuneo. Go ahead. Heck, that's what I did, after posting in nearly every other thread in the Maintenance forum.

:welcome: ncuneo! Everyone is welcome to post in the chat thread. Jump on in!

Oh, hello! ncuneo - how do you do? I post here occasionally and elsewhere. Stop me for a chat any time. I'm maintaining a few pounds lost but there are a few more to go. I see my progress as a falling leaf: I drift down and sometimes get blown back up but the overall path is downwards. And I seem to be happy with that.

Thanks guys!

Just pushing my way through yet another stressful day at work, my deadline is almost past and I'm seeing the light finally! I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing evening, hopefully my toddler will agree to it!

What a lovely image birch. Infinitely preferable to most that come to my mind when I step on the scale. Hope you don't mind if I add it to my now considerable stack of 3FC generated inspirational material

Cheers!

It's April?!

Midwife totally got me with her April Fool's post. I didn't even realize it was April, so deep have I been in my own navel :( (or around the back side :p).

Time to blast out of this DH/self-induced funk and start to enjoy spring things. I will buy a pot of tulips for the table today and get a mani this afternoon after work. That way it will still look nice for Sunday.

I'm going out to brunch tomorrow with a couple of the other dogwalkers. I will dress up a bit and slap on some make-up.

Then I'm taking myself downtown to the David Blackwood exhibit at the art gallery and will also go to Kensington (street market) and chinatown for a change of scenery.

Dagmar - I'd be very pleased. I'm glad you like the picture. Have a good time this weekend and spread your wings a bit.

I'm looking out at the Irish Sea at the moment. The sun is shining and people are strolling along enjoying it. The DB is eating fish and chips. I planned ahead and brought a tin of sardines and a pomegranate/blueberry/acai berry smoothie. And a bottle of water. Lovely.
