Default **************Research shows "LOGGING IN" helps with maintenance!

Tonight on local news there was a piece regarding weightloss websites. It substantiated that "logging in" and connecting with others online helps maintain weightloss success! Yay! I have always, always given credit to 3FC for helping me w/my own ongoing journey.

That's awesome! I've sometimes wondered if my daily (ok multiple times a day) visits were excessive, but darn it my dumb phone makes it so easy! Today is a non running day so I'm on the bike posting and I was just thinking - what am I doing???? But good-I'm flexing my maintenance muscle

I definitely agree- there aren't that many of us IRL or in some cases, real life is too "real" a place to connect. I wholeheartedly credit 3FC as a major key in my maintenance success

I don't know a soul in real life who has kept off a large amount of weight but I sure know a lot of regainers. What on earth would I do without all of you?

I just read this article as well, and OK, I'm just at 3 weeks of maintenance, but I am convinced that my habits -- faithfully logging in and recording my food, exercise, and weight at FitDay, as well as latterly hanging around here -- which I established over the time it took to lose the weight, have been instrumental to my success, and will be likewise instrumental in being successful at maintenance.

I have never successfully maintained before and I know it's my regular check-ins here that made this time different. I have other good tools this time, but it is 3FC that keeps me using those tools. Left to my own devices I'm sure at some point I'd think I knew better. You all remind me I don't Thanks Chicks!

I'm sure that I would be climbing back up the scale without 3fc! Maintaining was a mystery to me. I don't post much, but I read alot (almost obsessively) and it keeps me on track. Like Meg, I don't know any real life losers that have kept it off irl, but plenty of regainers. I don't know what I would do without all of you here. Thank you!

Thumbs up Yet another 3FC Believer

Count me as one of those who credit 3FC with staying on the path of maintenance.

There just aren't any sane folk in real life, including my beloved DW, who want to hear - over and over again,
"I didn't have seconds at the BBQ last night ... I didn't have the sausages ... I didn't have those brownies ... I didn't do chocolate while angsting my plumbing."
Kudos to the good listeners on 3FC for tolerating me giving myself credit for stepping over the pebbles in the path - you allow me to keep going.

Logging ALL my food into my DietPower software food journal
EVERY day for the past 2040 CONSECUTIVE days
is the key to my weight-loss and maintenance success.
