Just popping in to say hi. More busy-ness at work, and it's getting pretty hot at this point. I'm wearing lots of sunblock, hats etc! My sister, brother-in-law, and his mom are coming Saturday for 2 nights. They are driving my BIL's brother's car from Florida to Texas, b/c his brother is returning June 4 from deployment in Iraq and will be stationed in TX. We are all breathing a big sigh of relief that he's coming home safe. I had a mini-meltdown about getting ready for the visit last night so I skipped the gym and furiously tried to clean my house (the 30-minute high intensity shower scrubbing workout - haven't you see it on FitTV?) Tonight will be more cleaning, but feel more confident that it can be done before they arrive. Since I've been so busy on the weekends my household chores have fallen by the wayside.
Lily, glad to hear that weight management is going well on all fronts in your house! Too bad Pensacola is several hours from me, otherwise we could meet IRL on your vacation next month. Florida is heating up but the water is still a very nice temperature.
Sheila, at my grandmother's visitation, some people came who wanted to pay their respects but wouldn't be coming to the funeral. e.g. My aunt lived with my grandparents to help care for them in their later years. Her coworkers came to pay their respects as her friend but they hadn't really met my grandparents. Some of the neighbors came, who again weren't close to my grandparents, wanted to pay respects, but didn't attend the funeral. At other funerals I've been to lots of people came to both the visitation and the funeral. Also if there is an open casket you can actually physically "visit" with the person, walk up to them, hold their hand or kiss them, where there is not much opportunity to do this during a funeral service. I'm glad that having your family together is helping you. My thoughts are with you.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
