Yes Yes Yes!

I have been stuck at 155 (in my head) for over 10 years. I saw myself at that weight when I was 175 and I still see myself like that now. Its hard to get unstuck.

I had trouble realizing just how heavy I had become. Then I would see photos. argh. :( I finally spent some time in front of the mirror saying, "Look, this is fat. This is really fat." That helped me with my decision to get serious about weight loss.

Now I'm still about 15-20 lbs. overweight, and I know exactly where that weight is, too. Come early October, I'll be back on weight loss again to lose those pounds.

I never saw myself fat in the mirror, and photos always shocked me. But, I was never heavy until I got into my 40's, and somehow I've always seen that thinner body in the mirror (but hmmm, I do see the wrinkles and the gray hair :) )

Yes indeedie, many days I still see the old me staring back in the mirror.... It is crazy to still have bad body dismorph 25 pounds later! I have a girlfriend who is about the same weight as myself now, yet when I look at her I see her as skinny and compare myself to her for whatever reason. Well I weigh 3 pounds less than her, but I certainly think I am way heavier that she is, when in reality I am not, I am actually 3 pounds lighter.

It is crazy how I see myself, when everybody else thinks I am a skinny minnie now! I still have my size 12 jeans and I can still wear them, they are quite baggy on me though, but still wearable. My form fitted jeans are size 8-10 now, so I know I lost weight, but body dismorphe still plays tricks on me each time I look in the mirror, I SO wish I could see what everybody else see's..... Maybe oneday

Yes I do, most definitely. In the last year or so I've lost 18 pounds, dropping from 140 to 122 and have gone from an 8 to a 2, and a kid's 16.(I'm five one and agree that I'm heavy for these sizes.) When I look in the mirror I still see my original chubby self. Friends and family tell me I've lost weight and my husband even calls me "skinny" but I think they are just being nice.

I felt thinner before I knew my actual weight. I had been going by measurements and clothing sizes but my doctor put me on the scale as part of a physical and I turned out to be a lot heavier than I thought I was.

Now I feel like a fat blob and when I look in the mirror that's what I see.
