Is this the 'chat' thread mentioned in other threads?

Guess that depends on what forum you are looking for . . . there are a couple (at least) of chat threads on the go in almost every one of the many, many forums on this site.

This is mainly for jokes and funny stories - if you go to General Chatter, you'll find, well, more general chat
