Question Help ..Express vs. Take Off on LAWL

Hi All!!

I am on LAWL and have been for a while, I know" Express" and the menu, but what is the difference between "express" and "take off" I know express is when you first start and unlimited portions of certain proteins and green veggies, but when i look at the book for "take off" it says 6 oz portions of protein...but not how many per day .. then in the veggie section it says "2 choices". So what does that mean? Help!! I wanna do 2 days of it to clear myself out after a very dicey week..haa.. Thanks for any help.. (And, I'm so grateful to find you here, I have looked for support and never found any, I love the LA plan, but the center and counselors are terrible.)

Take Off is done after you've been on the program and includes the LA Lite bars; LA Express does not inclue lite bars. If you do not do LA Lites and you want to do TO, you repeat LA Express.

Use the Take Off Juice or Fruit (4 C of cantalope or 4 oranges)
6 oz protein total for the day (recommend you eat the same protein all day)
2 green veggies
& 2 LA Lite Bars

If you use the COD drink, it's 16 oz of their juice and 16 oz water for each day. Or buy 2 32 oz bottles of the Knudsen Morning Blend juice and each day you mix 6 oz water, 26 oz Knudsen's juice and 8 teaspoons Benefiber powder. This seems to be the closest in taste/nutrition to the COD juice.

Sample menu
Breakfast - 2 oz chicken
8 oz of TO juice

Snack - LA Lite

Lunch - 2 oz chicken
1 Cup raw vegetable (from approved list - lettuce, cucumubers, etc.)
8 oz of TO Juice

Snack - LA Lite

Dinner - 2 oz chicken
1 cup raw vegetable or 1/2 cup cooked
8 oz TO juice

That's all you get!

twopugs--it sounds worse than it is--I think. I did it with the 4 oranges and Lunas after Christmas and it was definitely one of my better TO's as far as being hungry.

Joni - Thanks for posting the TO menu! I am going to give a whirl. I need SOMETHING to kick start my (_)_) back into gear. How many days on TO should I do?

When I signed up, my first two days was the "take off". I had to drink the take off juice, which they gave me for no charge and I got to eat all the meats and veggies I wanted!! I loved that part, being a meat eater. I gained weight during those two days.

I have a question regarding the LA Lite bars...do they actually help? If so, what do they help with? Are they good for those times when you get cravings? What are some similar products..cheaper products out there? Thanks!!

2Pugs to 2Boxers...........that was so cute!! I love my little pugs, they are so much fun and so cute..Tucker and Otis...they are 4 yrs and 2 yrs.

Now I have to know your Boxers' names... And I went to the store and found the juice for a rockin' $2.29 a bottle instead of $24 per bottle. And lucky me, the store had Benefiber too. Thanks again, and my hubby decided to jump on with me and try LAWL too.

Jason: The Luna bars, Kashi Go lean and Pria Complete bars are comprable subsitutes they have alot of the same nutritional value ( I personally think they are better nutrionally for you) and they are ALOT cheaper. Alot of people use them (lites) because they help with cravings and such. I only liked the lemon ones and I personally did not like all the sugar and stuff in them so I steered clear and I use all food plan. I also wanted to try to lose the weight with food since that is how I will live for the rest of my life. I use the Luna bars when I am doing T/O or if I really have a chocolate craving..... I figure it is better then eating a candy bar. That is me though. I know alot of people use the Lites and love them and that is great! It is all about what is going to work for you......
