I got up this am to make myself an omlette and discovered what I bought was Egg Break Free and not Egg Beaters...I hope they are closely similar...I am unsure as I have never bought Egg Beaters in the past and I see that Egg Break Free is not on my list of proteins...any thoughts?
I have never heard of Egg Break Free, but if it is an egg substitute or egg white product, then it should be OK. Maybe one of your fellow Canadians can ring in on this?
Thanks Cassi...I am hoping that someone can help me...I was going to compare labels but of course the grocery store that I was at didn't have any egg beaters...I seen Egg Creations and the Eggs Break Free...the only difference that I could see was that Egg Creations were cholesterol free and the Eggs Break Free were 80% less cholesterol...this is a whole new learning process for me and I really don't want to mess things up....
Also, I know that you and another gal had said that egg beaters were unlimited but in my LAWL book it says 3/4 cup is equal to one protein in both egg beaters and egg substitutes...am I reading it wrong??
Egg beaters are unlimited in the sense that you don't have to limit your intake during the week like with real eggs.
Real eggs are limited to six per week. And three eggs is a protein, so you could have eggs for your protein only twice per week. Egg beaters you could have every day.

For me personally-I figure tht egg substitutes are pretty comparable. I actually don't use eggbeaters cuz they are most expensive-I use the "other" brand that fred meyer carries. But I always say that I use eggbeaters-you know what I mean.
