Change One Diet

  • Has anyone been on this program before? I was reading into it and was wondering if it would be worth it.

    Thanks!
  • I have this book. Each week you change something. I don't have the book with me right now but, for instance, the first week you change only breakfast, make it healthy and portion controlled. Eventually, you get around to changing snacks, lunch, dinner. After the first four weeks, you work on other things such as eating out, social events, etc. There are recipes in the book too. A very easy read. I believe they have updated and expanded the original book. The newer book is called Change One Diet and Fitness. I wouldn't mind checking that one out to see what the differences are.

You might also check out the Vice Busting Diet by Julia Griggs Havey. This one works on things like sodas, television, fast food .. changing bad behaviors and creating action plans, etc. I've heard good things about both books, I do not have Vice yet, it is on the way. It seems to help with more of what I thought I'd get with Change One. For me, when it comes down to it, I can eat a good breakfast, lunch and dinner .. it's the stuff in between and other behaviors that I need to work on. HTH
  • i love this book, of all of the diet books i have invested in this one taught me the most about portion control, and the importance of balanced eating and snacking. i refer back to it a lot when i am looking for a little motivation.
  • I haven't seen the new one on diet and fitness, thanks for the tip! I really loved the original Change One and have recommended it to a lot of people, especially people that tend to fall off of a diet as quickly as they started. Changes can be difficult to make, especially if you do them all at once.
  • I have lost over 80 pounds on the Change One diet - I highly recommend!
  • Thanks for the input, and congratulations!!!!!
