Does anyone find it hard to get in only 3 veggies a day? I mean I really like vegetables and I come from Weight Watchers where I lost 30 pounds last year and they pretty much allow unlimited vegetables as long as they are not starchy. So for me to cut down to 3 servings a day is really hard. I've been going over my portion sizes with my lettuce and cooked broccoli and cauliflower. When I went in LAWL today my counselor looked over my diary and saw that I wrote "2 cups lettuce" and asked if I measured the lettuce. I said yes because I didn't want to be fussed at for not measuring my lettuce but I did NOT measure it. I mean eating too much lettuce or vegetables did not get me at this weight!
Do you all measure your vegetables? I weigh/measure every thing else but I feel silly measuring veggies.
I don't measure my lettuce either. Can I really gain weight from lettuce?!?!? I do stick with things like 6 baby carrots, 1/2 banana, etc. But lettuce, no.
Deets is right. I go over every day on veggies. I don't tell my COD that, of course. But lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, zuchinni, cucumbers, and celery are insanely low in calories.
I usually go over also, and so far it hasn't seemed to be a problem. How funny, when I saw this thread I thought it would be about struggling to get all your vegetables, not going over.
