Help! Goal date in just over 1 week

I have done (in my opinion anyway) fairly well on this plan. My problem is that I am 8 days away from my goal date and have 3 1/2 pounds left to lose. I have asked for suggestions at the center for things I could do to help get these last few pounds off but haven't gotten any good, consistent answers. I plan to do the 2-day takeoff starting tomorrow, but I have not had great results with that in the past. Any suggestions for quick loss - I am so close and would love to make goal and hopefully get a portion of my money back!! BTW, I am on the gold plan.

I've never did Take Off so I'm no help there.

Have you tried changing things up?

This is what a woman at my center told me and it helped every time I did.

Eat like a King for Breakfast
Eat Like a Queen for Lunch
and Eat Like a Pauper for Dinner

Basically eat more for breakfast than any other meal of the day and then more for lunch than dinner.

Don't forget your water......

Is TOM near? You could shed those extra pounds real fast.

About the rebate... As long as you are within 5lbs of your goal weight at week 26 and week 52 of maintenance you are supposed to get the rebate.

Not to mention, you will lose some during stabilization. Of course, you are supposed to stabilize; but during the first few weeks weight loss is still possible.

Good Luck!

Being w/in 5 lbs of your goal is good enough - you just have to MAINTAIN that for a year to get your rebate. You can also buy 4 more weeks for $20 if you want to go lower than your goal.

Now I'm confused....I thought that you had to reach the goal by the date you were given at the beginning of the program or the rebate was not valid? Has anyone on this board actually reached the point of receiving their rebate? Was it a big hassle?
Thanks for any input - my center has not been very helpful anytime I have asked about the rebate/goal date.

I think I'll try the big breakfast thing...thanks Karen

I would guess that most people don't reach their goal by the time their original weeks are up - I know I won't - I've only got about 10 weeks, and over 40 to go. . . so I'll end up buying more WL weeks sometime this fall. ..

I don't know where my original contract is - but I'm sure you won't be the first person to be that close to goal when the weeks are up.

What do you want to do - continue to drop to your goal weight, or shift the goal weight to wherever you are on that date? ask the center what will happen if you shift goal weight...

Also, do you usually go WI in the afternoon? try going in the morning?

I don't plan on getting the rebate - I only paid $3 for my weeks and my center has miscalculated my weeks anyway - twice. I tried to correct them but they insist that they are right and I am wrong and that I should be on WL clear through next summer. I'm not going to argue with them about it anymore. If they want to give me free weeks then that's fine with me.

But they also claim that I told them my goal weight is 20 lbs. lower than my real goal weight, and that if they change it to the goal weight I really want I won't be able to get my rebate. I think they are clueless about some things. They are a manual operation (no computers) and their bookkeeping is lousy.

Mary - I think they'd let you do it. They should not be able to dictate the length of any contract. Just tell them you want to lose only 8 lbs and that you don't want stab or maintenance.

Congratulations! :bravo:

What was your beginning and goal weight?

How tall are you?

How many weeks did it take you?

Just curious.....
