I started this and I think I may have the dates wrong - oh well - you guys get the gist of it! We all know why we are here and when LOL

I had a good weekend. I walked both days and we are going again this afternoon after an appointment that I have. Must be the way that I walk and place my feet cause it's the outside of my calf/ankle that hurts while I am walking. I keep going and hope that it will gradually get better as I go along. Its ok usually once I get home again and am not walking as much. But it isn't stopping me. Pain or not we keep going.

I don't know if I am down anything yet or not cause I won't take my scale out for at least another couple of weeks. It's still playing hide and seek in my closet. It can hide and I won't seek it!

Well, I must go have my breakfast - yogurt, grapes and toast this morning I think. I'll check in later..Happy Monday!

WTG Alannah. Your postiive attitude is reallly refreshing on such a cold monday morning Do you have a good pair of walking shoes? You might want to go get yourself a new pair, and have them fitted. I was amazed the last time I took my 11 yo DD for gym shoes....the man told me that people often buy shoes that don't fit properly....that it is more important for the shoes to fit hwere we need the support than the length of the shoe. He said your foot needs to hit (the ball of the foot) in the right spot, otherwise the shoes do not do what they were designed to fit, and that most of us buy shoes that are too short for us...that we are uncomfortable with shoes that are a couple of cm's longer in the toes. I put my scale away also, but I am a bit nervous to get back on in a couple of weeks......I have had a few sweets lately. But....I am still kicking a$$ and taking names with my workouts.

Hi Jillian

Barbara....I have been thinking about you and DD........how is she doing?

Katie.....are you surviving the last of the harvest? I've been thinking about you too

Ok, have much work to do......I didn't do my laundry for a couple of days while my sissy and bestie were here......so I am a bit overwhelmed with work today.

Oh, but one more thing.....my GF is starting another round of IL-2........they saw some delayed shrinkage of most of her tumors.....so they are giving it another go. Her first dose is at 5:00 p.m. Poor girl.....but so thankful there is a glimmer of hope now

Ok, really goign now
XOXO

Bah! Stupid rainy Monday morning! What a downer...and I might have to fire someone today (ahhh!). Not a good start to the week.
I think I might join a few of you in putting away my scale for awhile...especially when I exercise and the scale doesn't move I get REALLY mad. I did measurements on Friday though so perhaps that will be how I guage things for awhile...

Just popping in to say Hi to you all. Not much new with me. Trying my best to stay OP but I think the weekends are evil and should be banned!! I struggle so much when I'm at home as opposed to work where I can only eat what I bring. Oh well, I'll find my mojo and rock the weekends. I just hope I find it soon!!!

I like the idea of putting the scale away and only using measurements or how clothes fit to gauge my WL. I'm doing TBL challenge on another thread and have to WI so that is not an option right now. I'll just try not to dwell too much on the numbers for a while and see how that works for me.

In all honesty I'd like to lose 25 pounds by next October. I figure in a year I can do that. Right???

Better get busy. Work is calling my name. Have a good Monday everyone. I'll try to check back in later in the day.

Happy Monday everyone! I worked out doing my shred this weekend. It is getting easier but still really hard. Today will be day five as I skipped two days last week because I was so bloody sore!!!!! haha
I can't believe this weekend is Thanksgiving already. I am getting on the scale to weigh in tomorrow and then I am putting it away for a week. I am going to my parents and my inlaws for Thanksgiving so I will be eating two big meals. Its going to be a portion controlled weekend.......
So anybody have any great ideas about puppy training??? When do they sleep through the night???? My pup gets up at 1am and 4am every night. I am exhausted by morning. I am scared to let her cry because I worked so hard to get her to bark when she wants outside. I don't remember my other dogs being so trying...maybe its the breed. Good thing she is so dam cute!!!!
Ojay, I'll check in later...yawn!!!!!

Hi everyone...happy Monday!

Our car broke down and my husband is busy fixing it.Therefore I haven't made it to the COD for my measurements yet...and had to practically live on Lean Cuisine for past few days....not I am scared to go for my measurements

Nothing much happening...except I done my Thanks Giving shopping ( oct 12).

I am planning to try the crustless pumpkin pie...anyone else tried that from the La-book? Sure some feedbacks would be nice

Also would love to hear what others from Canada are planning?

Joan already got great plans

Laurie, Congrats on your DD and her achievment. It would be weird if you were not proud of her and boasting about such a large achievement.

Nicole, My DD remains sick and getting sicker and weaker all the time. I just don't know what to do to get some doctor to take a serious look. She is giving up hope and thinking she'll never be able to function as an independent person again if this keeps up... She has another appt tomorrow and my DH is going with her. She came over and just cried for two hours about how awful it has been for her and I felt so helpless and then I didn't sleep all night after from the worry of it all...

Thanks Barbara. My dad has Mineire's Disease ( I think that's what you said your DD has). It took a long time for him to get any relief from it. He ended up going to the Shea Clinic in Tennessee (Memphis or Nashville I think). They specialize in this type of illness and he's been great ever since. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I can get the number if you want and the name of the doctor and more details about what they did for him and let you know.

I had a horrible weekend my mom was in the hospital for an irregular heart beat, but they think it is under control now. She is home today, so that makes her somewhat happy. She still looks bad and she has to wear a monitor and take 3 medications and have all these test. I just hope everything turns out ok. She has a bad history of heart diease in her family and she is a nurse so she hides things and never tells us how bad it really is.

My kids are off for Fall Break so our house is utter chaos. I think that has kept me somewhat from worrying about my mom. My kids need structure and when they do not get it, well you can imagine.

Barbara- sorry about your DD. My mother also has mineres dieases and Laurie is right, she sees a specialist here in Knoxville,TN he is only here certain days and I believe his office is in Nashville, but she does very well with it and was diagnoised quite awhile ago. (her current problems are not related)

KristinX- Hope your Day gets better

Joan and MJ- Happy Thanksgiving

Laurie- I just weigh on Monday mornings that seems to help me just to weigh once a week. I can not gauge on my clothes because of TOM right now my pants are tight but I have lost almost a pound since last week when I got them.

Alannah- great job on the walking.

Nicole- good insight on shoes. I think I will look into that..

Hello All.

So sorry to hear about all the illnesses with mineres diease. Yikes!

Not alot going on with me. My trip to Baltimore last week was draining and not OP. I will have to take some recovery steps this week. Why is pasta so easily available and vegetables not? I will try to get on the scale in the a.m., but not looking forward to it. This weather change is not helping much either.

Day just keeps getting crazier...ugh!

Joan...I crate trained my dog from Day 1 and never had to get up during the night with her. Just had to make sure I was all ready to go outside when I let her out cause she had a hard time holding it as soon as I opened that crate door in the morning! Somewhere around 6 months old I didn't have to crate her at night anymore, just during the day (when she wasn't in doggy daycare). At first I thought crate training was a little cruel but I wouldn't do it any other way ever again!
Aww you just made me miss my lil puppy...she just turned 5! But that puppy stage was trying! Good luck!
