Default mashed potato, carrot and turnip healthy ?

Are mashed potatoes, carrots and turnip with becel margarine (non-hydrogenated) healthy ?

Well . . . maybe so long as you have no more than 1/2 cup and definitely not every day. All of them are fairly high starch vegetables and the margarine of course is packed with fat calories.

You can definitely do better.

Unless you are on a low carb diet they are fine. We all need some fat in our diet and Benecel margarine is good for your heart. It is never good to eliminate any food group. We need carbs for energy and clear thinking. Carrots and turnips and vegetables, the potato is considered a starch as well as a vegetable. Enjoy a moderate amount.
