Default Anyone ever read "Water With Lemon"?

So a few months ago I started calorie counting, lost 2.5 lbs. then gained back 5. To be honest, I have a 1 y/o daughter and a job and just don't have time to count calories.

I found this book online. It's a weight loss novel (yes, there is a story) that shows you how to lose weight w/o dieting (w/o any counting whatsoever). Basically, you start eating healthier foods (cut the fat/cut the sugar/more fruits/veggies) and practicing healthier eating habits (drinking water, eating until satisfied). You adapt to a healthy lifestyle, and as a result you lose the excess weight w/o ever going on a diet.

It really does make good sense to me. My weight has really varied over the past 7 years. Three years ago I was 50 lbs. less than I am right now. It seems like it could be the answer to finally getting permanent control over my weight and was wondering if anyone else has read this book, too.

I was hoping for a "club" somewhere but to no avail.

Hi! I'm in the same situation as you. I lost weight years ago by essentially counting calories. Then I had a couple of kids (ages 1 and 2) and I work full time. I tried to follow WW, but the counting points just got to be too much.

What you describe sounds a lot like Intuitive Eating. There is a thread in this part of Three Fat Chicks. I've been following this Intuitive Eating thing sort of for a couple of months. Mostly I've just gained back the weight I lost on Weight Watchers, but they say that's pretty normal when you're going from a diet to more of a lifestyle. Anyway, you should check out that thread and suggest that everyone read that book too! We're always looking for more inspiration to be intuitive eaters.
