HIYA! A Question from a Newbie!

  • I just started LAWL last week and enjoyed perusing this forum before I joined to be sure it was something I wanted to try. I am a busy mom of 4 girls so my eating habits were less than desirable so this plan is wonderful for me. I am just wondering if I am not in the money to buy bars.. is there a way I can exchange them (ie 1 Starch/1 protein)? I hope someone can help. I am sticking to the plan and have lost 6 lbs as of Friday (my first week) Is this something that will continue to happen if I am sticking to plan or does it slow down? Thanks for answering my questions and see ya around! *hugs*
  • I opted to not use the bars and my counselor moved me from plan 2 with bars to plan 3 without. plan 3 has an additional 1/2 protein, 1 veg, 1fruit, 1 starch.
I have made a point of not using any products as I see them as a crutch that I will someday have to give up. I do not eat that type of stuff now so why eat it on a diet? Just to make the company fat with my money?!
  • I see what you are saying about the money.. even the 'regular' comparable bars in the stores are pricey and I want to learn to eat with what I can buy at the grocery store. I do find the lites are working great.. I just can't afford to keep up with it for long. (I have 4 little ones to feed!) Congrats on your losses Tuesdaycool! You are inspiring! How long have you been working at it? I can't wait to 'meet' you all!
  • Hi From another Canadian!!!

I started the program and did not really enjoy the bars. I prefer to save the money and eat something i enjoy instead. They did amend my program, but ever since, i found they don't have the same level of support to me. My location had a turn around and some new girls i don't "click" with. I went back after a fall off, and did TO for 2 days then back on regular program. I then did not lose for the next week. Well, the girls (very sales oriented) said, oh you would get better results if you go back on bars.... So, i have not gone back. Hoping to do the program on my own with the ideas found here.
