Morning ladies
The weekend went ok. I only messed up a little yesterday but sundays are always the worst day for me. I didnt too do bad but i wasnt perfect. GL to everyone this week. we can do this! |
I'm back - POP makes me feel SO much better! I need to remind myself of that when I get tempted to stray from plan. I'm going to MN to visit family Wednesday night through Sunday. I've travelled many times on plan and I KNOW I can do it again if I put my mind to it. Have a great rest of the week if I don't get a chance to check in again before I fly out.

Well it's been 7 days of POP for me and I have lost 5 lbs. I'm very pleased w/ myself.

I am struggling a bit today......TOM is getting me. I had to go to the center and it was hard passing all the fast food restaurants. Grease is sounding really good to me right now. I planned cheesy chicken quesadillas for dinner tonight. Hopefully that'll do that trick. And some FF chocolate pudding to ease my chocolate cravings. Plus I was up at WI today. Totally water weight. |
going out to dinner with lots of girls from work...i ate light today..and i am left with a protein for dinner, 2 fruits, and 3 veggies, 1 starch and a fat...will do my best to remain POP.....will bring dessert home for my boys:nono:

Well, i ended up having grilled tuna, mushroom risotto(ate half), italian greens, a salad, 1 stuffed mushroom, pineapple, half a slice of bread...and 2 glasses of wine:o...it was a free dinner from the pharmaceutical company...really good food
i did resist dessert and bring it home for my boys:carrot: it was a decadent rich fudge cake with sliced roasted almonds stuck all over the gooey frosting...mmmmmmmmmmm |

So……..if any of you read my “What’s the Point” thread you’ll know that I went off-plan last night. I am so bummed. I feel like I let you guys down.
I made a deal w/ Debbie to stay on-plan and not weigh myself again until Monday. I can stick to that. One day at a time. If things are going better on Monday, then my new goal will be to stay on-plan 29/30 days this month. Hope all you POP’ers are doing better than me! It’s been a rough one. |

I did see your other thread, and you know what?... I doubt very many of us are going to have an exactly perfect month. What matters is that we're here supporting each other and trying our best, whatever that is at any given moment. So, dust yourself off girl! :hug: Take it from somebody who's coming back after a 3-week binge - If you let yourself get too far gone, it's hard to get back. And even if you do manage to drag yourself back OP after a hiatus, you'll wonder how much lighter you could have been if only you had gotten back in the saddle sooner... Nobody's perfect. Yes, "one-meal" at a time. That is how I need to approach today. I've made it through breakfast & lunch. I have on-plan hamburgers and pasta from the LAWL cookbook planned for dinner so it should be easy to stay on track tonight. It's a great meal....tastes fattening, but isn't.

I'm going to spare you the frightening details....let's just say this past weekend was a trainwreck! I'm doing Hollywood Diet Juice today and tomorrow and back on plan Wednesday. I have a food hangover - seriously! I WILL do this thing!

Hey y’all! POPing here! Things are going much better than last week. I was totally hormonal! Haven’t seen the losses yet, but I feel good that they will be coming soon.
Went on a walk outside during lunch today. Didn’t get very far, but it’s a start. We moved into a new building over the weekend and my new desk is very “visable”. I’m not going to be able to get away w/ being on here as often as I like so if I’m MIA, know that I’m still POP and I’ll check in ASAP!! |
hi friends! I don't recognize a lot of the names on here but I've been on LAWL since June and have hit a road block since the holidays. I used to post on these boards multiple times a day-but since I've lost a lot of motivation I haven't been around as much. So anyway, I wanted to join in on your challenge seeing as tomorrow is the 15th I thought it would be the perfect time for me to get on a 15 day POP challenge!
So I'm ready to finish April POP! I graduate from law school on May 10 and really want to be looking as best as I can for all of those photos! Congrats to all of you who have been doing so well! I'm hoping your dedication and motivation will rub off on me too! So here I go-POP day 1! |

It has been a rough weekend for me also..i work weekend nights in a hospital and when i get home in the morning i am so tired and hungry that nothing in the kitchen is safe...looking forward to a good week though...Good luck and Good Eating....

POP on in Amy! We'd love to have you. One day ~one meal~ at a time. We can do this!! I'm still POPing. No movement on my home scales since last Thursday, although I was down at COD today. Go figure! Maybe that means that tomorrow on my scales will be better. I'm doing the 6-week Super Slimming Spring Challenge at my COD, so I've got to do TakeOff tomorrow & Thursday. I always dread that. |
I'm w/ ya on finishing out April POP! It’s a perfect amount of time to lose a nice chunk of weight before May.

Well-today was not exactly POP. I had a catered dinner at a meeting I had to go to and while I did make the "best" choices possible, I think I went over on protein and fat-but I'm looking at it as an accoplishment since there were a lot of temptations. So onward and upwards tomorrow! Can't wait to get going on being POP day after day! I've done it before and I can do it again! |
Okay so I'm having this issue. I'm POP all day long and feel great about it. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m seem to be my dark hours. Every day for the past week between those hours, I make the decision to go off plan.
It's driving me nuts. I know if I can make it into dinner POP, I'm golden for the rest of the evening. Trying again today....... |
Come on Jill. You know you can do this. My "dark hour" is in the morning in my car on my way to work when I pass McD's. They seem to call my name. And sometimes my car just wants to go visit. Has a mind of its own I tell ya. Anyway, if you can make it through your hours then I can make it through mine. We can report back on this thread in the morning to check up on each other. Deal??

During those tough times of day, can you plan to have a snack or something? That's what has helped me. My tough time - when the kids get home from school. It's mid-afternoon, I'm hungry and I have to fix them snacks and help them with homework while I watch them munch. So, I've just started eating a lighter lunch and a pretty big afternoon snack (ie - a Lite, some Wheat Thins and LC Lite cheese or banana). It keeps me from wanting to sneak a bite of whatever they're having. (Well, not entirely, but it does make it easier!) You can do it! Working through these tough issues is what's going to make us successful long-term, don't you think? |

I agree with you, if you are able to indetify the problem times try to plan for them. I got these awesome fruit popsicles that are only a Condiment. I like having one when I want to cheat. Ha! Plus it's soo cold it makes me not want to eat anything else! Edy's all fruit popsicles! Life Saver! Try them! |
I've stayed POP since my last-half-of-April recommitt. Evenings are my toughest time, along with the drive home in the car on days when I don't take the train. I try to do what others have suggested - save a lite or some light snack for times where I know I'm tempted.
When all "regular" food has been eaten and I'm still wanting something after dinner, I'll turn to one or more of these: decaf coffee/diet soda, SF popsicles, crystal lite, SF candy, SF jello, hot lemon water. Have a great POP day! I plan to get outside for my 4th lunchtime walk of the week (big accomplishment for me). Looks to be @ 70 degrees today. Yay! |

I made it too! There was a discussion about going out for Chinese for dinner last night. My idea, I am totally my own worst enemy. Something clicked in my head and I was like “you know what? Forget it. I’m staying on plan today so we’ll have tilapia & baked potatoes instead, as planned.” HUGE progress!!
I weighed-in this morning hoping to see a big loss b/c of my good behavior and I was only down .4 of a pound. That brings me right back to where I started this month. A little disappointing. I realized last week w/ my TOM battle that I have big time scale issues (actually, it was pointed out to me by the people on this forum : )). It has some kind of magical power over me and I need to not let that little electronic devil control my life and eating habits. It has for years and I really need to GET OVER IT! So……I vow to not WI again until Saturday and stay POP until then. P.S. I put those popsicles on my grocery list. Thanks Cecilia! |
Jill - Great job on dinner last night. I'm so proud of you for doing what you knew was the right thing. I'm like you with the scale issues. I put mine in the basement bathroom and only use it on Monday and Thursday. My "official" WI is on Monday. At least I'm not on it daily like I used to be. Maybe someday I'll only get on it once a week.

It was SO hard not toWI this morning. I feel like I’ve dropped some, especially water-weight b/c my rings are all loose today. But I didn’t want the electronic devil to ruin my day in case I was wrong. I’ll WI tomorrow, but probably won’t be back online until Monday to report the results. I need to spend some time w/ the DF this weekend. We’re getting along so great right now and we need to treat ourselves to some fun. I think we’re going try and get out of the house tonight, go out for drinks to our fave pub or something. Don’t worry……I’ve set some starches & fruits aside for the night and will stay OP! |
Jill, My worst time is evening too. There was a time when I would put almonds in my desk and eat them right before I got home, since it was when I got home from work and before dinner was eaten that I am at my worst.
Just one serving of fat eaten this way really kills the hunger devil for me and makes it so I can behave. I read in the You on a Diet book, that about 70 fat calories will trigger your body to release hormones that cause you to not want to eat as much. It actually works too. I need to go and buy more almonds. Today I"m having and issue since there is not much worth eating at my house. |
I'm an olive fanatic so maybe I'll try that.
I've even tried to do a SlimFast right before I leave work. Totally not worth the 1P & 1S for me. I am finding that a small glass of wine when I get home is working well. Takes the edge off and keeps me occupied until dinner. Except last night that 1 glass turned into 4 (crazy day)! Good thing I was so busy yesterday I went home w/ 4 fruits left over! |
Kind of dropped the ball on this one.
But I still want to know how everyone did!? I stayed POP 16 out of the 30 days in April resulting in a 4.2 lb loss for the month. I guess not too bad for only being POP 53% of the time. At least I didn't gain. So far so good in May. I've been POP since April 25th. Is there any interest in me starting a May thread? |
This sounds good to me. I need challenges to help keep me going.
