Question Has anyone tried Special K water???

Just curious if anyone has had success with it or not? I've been stuck on a platue for 4 weeks, and my My MIL goes to Metabolic, and she said that they always tell her the most important thing is drinking the protien drinks, so I decided to try the special K protien drinks. I just tried the strawberry kiwi, and it was sooooooooooooo good!!

It's my new favorite drink, besides plain water! My favorite so far is the lemon twist...tastes like a nice tart lemonade. I have found it to be helpful when I come home from the gym and am STARVING, ok, not really starving....just really hungry--keeps me from snacking until dinner.

Are you going to it in place of a meal?

I don't bother drinking it as a beverage because it has like 30 calories and 6 carbs.

At Metabolic, the reason that they recommend the protein drinks, is because they are SELLING them. They are a business, and they are automatically going to recommend products that will make them money. (Just like the woman at the Clinique makeup counter is going to recommend other products to you, when you are just coming in to buy a lipstick.)

It isn't the protein DRINKS that are so important...it is the daily amount of protein in your diet in general. If you are exercising and want to keep or build your lean muscle mass, your body needs protein to feed that muscle-just like your car needs fuel.

However, you don't have to have it in drink form. Meat, fish, eggs, soy...all of these things are wonderful protein sources. The drinks are fine if you don't get enough protein in your diet, but they are not necessary.
