SlimFast Weekly Weigh-In Thread
Well this is our first weekly WI accountability thread. Eveyone in the monthly threads is so incredibly supportive and this will be a great way to track what we do each week as well as we'll be able to keep a tally of the weight we've all supported each other in losing!

W = Water (Daily) E = Eating (Daily Calorie Target for the week) E = Exercise (Daily Activity Taget for the week) D = Daily Affirmation (Look in the mirror every morning and tell yourself this affirmation...you can change it daily or weekly, up to you!) Cheers, Tamara |
Hey ladies~ Since I'm going to try to only weigh in once a week (and not every day), I'm changing my weigh in day to Friday's. Sorry for the confusion. Well, no weight lost this week, but hoping for a bigger number next week after TOM. I have had good weight loss the last 3 weeks, so I'm trying to not get discouraged about this week.

Yipee! I lost 2 pounds this week! :carrot: I have now lost 10% of my starting weight!
I was thinking I would just edit one post each week and add my weight, but realized that if we all do that, our thread will get lost under all the other threads and we'll never be able to find it again. I'm posting a whopping one pound loss for the week. It's nothing amazing but it IS one pound in the right direction, so I'll take it.

Good Morning! Weighed in this morning and I have lost the 3 pounds that I had gained-- which just puts me over where my ticker was by one pound! I went ahead and edited my original post. Glad to see the scales going down again!

Good Morning--- Well, I was up a pound this week but didn't surprise me to much. Just hard to get back on track and stay on track after you've messed up! But you still have to take the ups and the downs--- it's all part of the journey. I went ahead and edited my original post. Hopefully the next month will be so much better!!!! Have a great Weekend!!!

I bought a new laptop computer this past Sunday and I've been playing with it for this past week putting it through all kinds of tests! And believe it or not, I decided to uninstall all that I had put on there and pack it up and take it back! I just wasn't that impressed with it. So instead of doing my walking--- I've messed with that most of the week--- but it's going back this weekend. Now back to getting my DAILY walks in! I did walk a couple days this week but not everyday like I had been doing--- so a pound is what I will have to take! Have a great day!! |

Hi Everyone! I just started using Slim Fast today. I want to lose around 20 pounds. I am absolutely starving!!! So far I have had one shake and a fat-free yogurt (70 cal), I will have another shake soon! Can someone explain exactly what I should be doing. How many snacks and snack suggestions? How quickly can I expect to lose weight? I also plan to start using my eliptical (sp) again.

Hi Debbie - you will find more information on our other Slim Fast thread - which you can find in this thread forum as well - in any case, you sound like you would be starving based on how little you are eating....you should really check out the Slim Fast website for recipes and the actual meal plan - which actualy has you eating a minimum of 1200 calories/day - although I suggest eating more like 1400 calories per day - here is my typical day:
8:30am - Slim Fast Shake - 190 calories 11am - Fiber One Granola Bar - 140 calories 1pm - 1/2 - whole turkey & swiss grilled sandwich on high fiber bread, fiber one yogurt, light potato chips - 300-400 calories 3pm - snack - yogurt, popcorn, cheese, laughing cow cheese wedge on melba toast, etc...about 100 calories 5pm - Spaghetti (with high fiber pasta - check out www.fibergourmet.com), grilled chicken, baked chicken, steak on the grill, a lean burger or veggie burger, some veggies, a starch - about 400 calories 9:30pm - about 100-150 calorie snack - see any of the above - or even a dessert like a 100 calorie ice cream bar.... I started losing weight immediately on s/f - i have one every morning for breakfast and just love them - i actually freeze them for about an hour before i drink them - i don't like them if they aren't really cold..... get on the elliptical - it will help you tons - i workout 5 nights/week and do between 45-60 minutes of cardio - either running on the treadmill or elliptical...good luck and check back often! ~Amanda |
