I am so surprised to hear that not all the COD's are changing to this new plan. The way my counselor put it, every client is changing over unless they are like 5lbs from goal.
I was real surprised when I actually saw a number 5 next to starches, but it is actually working out pretty well so far.
So, I am only on day 3 of this new plan, but have lost a pound so far. I do not know how it is possible, but I am definitely never hungry. I have been POP for 2 days out of the 3, somehow managing to eat all this food in one day.
All the starches are high fiber. Anything made with white flour is put under the "consume infrequently" category. So, I know you are wondering, what are the starch portions like, they are huge in comparison to what I was used to.
Okay so here is what is considered one starch:
1 light multigrain english muffin
2 slices of light ww bread
3 cps of 94% FF popcorn
1 whole grain 6in Tortilla
1 Roll, plain whole grain small
1/2 cp of any Kashi Cereal
1/4cp LF granola
1/4 cpBaked beans
These are just the ones which blew my mind. There are even more under the "consume infrequently" category.
I find myself eating all the time, but I get hungry more for each mini meal. I had an ulcer which prompted me to start changing the way and the amount of what I was eating. These mini meals are working great for me. all this food is a pain in the neck to plan out. I have gone from 20min to almost an hour, trying to plan out everything and make sure I got it all in.
Thanks for all your info and I really hope that this plan works, if not back to good old RED!
