Default Super Bowl Survival Guide

I thought I would start this thread for anyone who has suggestions on how to survive the ultimate "bar food" day. Recipes and other menu suggestions will be appreciated by all. I'll start:

Wing or Veggie Dip: 1/4 rf blue cheese dressing and 3/4 Walden Farms FF Calorie Free blue cheese dressing and mix that together to make your dip. You can get a lot of mileage with minimal taste difference this way. I am still doing regular for the guys, but will have this for my veggies.

Mini burgers. If you make mini burgers (sliders) you can have two for 1P if you size it right. We are making horseradish burgers w/muenster cheese and BBQ cheddar burgers. By making the burgers smaller, I can have one of each and have about 1/4 slice of cheese on each burger. I'll never feel like I'm missing out.

Of course, I love the BBQ Chicken Pitza. You can also buy they whole wheat mini pitettes, which are smaller than the 4" pitas. You can make mini pizza appetizers with these and serve them to everyone and no one will know you're still OP.

Club soda w/lime tastes good and you can be the designated driver.

Or have crystal light lemonade w/a shot of vodka (your own hard lemonade).

Great idea, Cassi........I'll take one of each from your menu ideas!!

Spinach Dip(1 dairy 8oz, 2 veg)
1/2 cup cooked spinach, chopped and drained
1 container non-fat plain yogurt
5 green onions with tops, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash of pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed

Mix all ingredients. Cover and refridgerate for 1 hour.
Serve with melba toast, rice cakes or raw veggies.

So does vodka count as a starch since it's made out of potatoes?? :-)

Yep! Unfortunately, anything good counts as a starch.

However, I have noticed that if I have one or two of these OCCASIONALLY, the scale is not affected much.

Okay I'll be good!
How about making the Turkey Chili from the cookbook, or serving Humuus with your veg or pita, I've made brushcetta mix and done on split WW pitas and topped with lite cheese and fresh basil. Or save a starch and have some popcorn
Any food on Sunday sounds good.. now just keep me away from the beer!
