Thanks for the kick in the butt!

  • So....the request for a kick to the hiney worked! I stayed on track, and went to the COD today with my journal in hand. I didn't do so great at the scale (went up .8 of a lb) BUT had a great NSV and also had a very honest and motivational chat with the counsellor there (had one of my favourites today!).

    I have lost 16.5 inches in total - updated measurements today! Two inches on my thighs since last month! I know this is directly related to going to the gym, so am absolutely delighted at this result.

    The counsellor also challenged me to set a mini goal for the next four weeks, and I accepted the challenge. I am challenging myself to lose 8 lbs in the next four weeks, which will take me to gold plan weight. We laughed at the irony that I will be rewarded with LESS food if I'm successful

    Anyhow - onto a new journal and a new mini goal!!!

    Edited to add: Just noticed that my attempt to brag about my inches lost under my avatar here makes it look like I'm shrinking in height...hehehe....will have to fix that! lol
  • Sandy - WTG! I'll take inches lost over lbs lost anyday. The problem is it's so easy to step on the scale and see that number, where it's hard to stop and measure each day to see those loses. Good luck on your personal challenge. You can do it! I think you need to think of a better "reward" for yourself when you reach that mini 8 lb goal (other than a different color menu plan book!). A manicure, a massage, something you wouldn't do on a regular basis (that is different for everyone).
