Tip #21 - Don't be afraid of a little hunger
A study at Wayne State University in Detroit found that when obese people learned to work through their anxiety about not eating when they experienced hunger or cravings, they lost more weight than those who simply followed a low-calorie diet. "It's good to be hungry because that means you're not overeating," says John Foreyt, PHd, director of the Behavioral Medicne Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. "So many people in the US don't know what hunger is because they're eating so much that they never experience it."
That's so true - I've never known what it means to be truly hungry and not have food to eat.
