Tip #22 - Divide Your Plate
Divide a plate into quarters and fill half with vegetables, salads and fruit, a quarter with lean protein and a quarter with a starchy vegetable, advises Katherine Tallmadge, MA, RD, a Washington DC-based spokesperson for the American Dietitic Association and author of Diet Simple (LifeLine Press 2004). This will help ensure you eat enough to feel full and sastified without stuffing yourself with unnecessary calories.
